Well, seeing how much I hate that only a few Falcom games are translated and that there are not enough fan translations I decided I could actually use the skills I got after studying japanese for 3 years in some constructive way. So if there is any ROM hacker here willing to work on a Falcom game translation, now is the time I'm particulary interested in YsV, Sorcerian for Megadrive, Popful Mail (SFC) and Legend of Heroes I, II for SFC.

I used to do some simple romhacking, but I never really got any skills. But I'll comment your list: YsV is already being worked on, Popful Mail is avaliable in english for Mega CD, Legend of heroes I is avaliable in english for MSX and PC-Engine. LoH II is pretty much the same as #1 and Sorcerian is also being worked on. But it would still be nice with translations for any of those games of course.

I know Popful Mail and LoH are oficially translated but for CD systems, CD games harder to get you know... Didn't know about the YsV and Sorcerian for Megadrive translations though so let me Google for it and maybe I can lend the guys a hand so they can speed up things...

Ryan, if you are going to give person links to downloadable roms and such, get their msn and send it thru there.
That way, it isn't proboards nor Seldanes responsibility, only you and the person who gets the messege.

Sorcerian is available in English. Sierra ported it to DOS and brought it over to the states.

Has some great tunes tho'. I believe Yuzo Koshiro had a hand in them. You got that right. I love, and I mean LOVE the intro/opening song. It's almost as good as (if not better) than Ys 1's soundtrack. And I also believe Yuzo is responsible for at least a couple of the songs.

I love the Sorcerian soundtrack, too. Has anybody played the Dreamcast version? I've played with the PC-88 and PC versions a bit, and... it really isn't much fun. The idea of a platforming action/RPG with 4 characters instead of one is a pretty cool idea, but I don't like the way they implemented it. If it played more like Faxanadu, it would have been much better. I tried doing some rom hacking about a year ago. I wanted to translate Shin Megami Tensai on the Mega CD. I was having good success with the technical side, but nobody was willing to translate the script for me so I had to quit. Here's a few pictures from the intro that I did translate. The font was pretty goofy, but I could have fixed that if I had continued.
