He's gone quite a ways around the world, explored Esteria, Ys, Felghana, Celceta, Xandria, Canaan, Altago . . . Where do you want to see Adol head next? Where do you hope Ys will send him next? I want to see Garman (sp?) as if i recall right, Adol is from there, and he has been journeying for some time. Romn would be fun too, but rushing to them would likely lead to Adol saving the day there and taking out a good "sort-of-evil-empire" from the world. Note, I havent beaten Ys Seven yet, but I just wondered what others might be thinking

Garman would make sense, considering how often it's mentioned. If the known world in the series didn't seem to be so tiny, it'd be neat if he went to what the series' equivalent of Japan is(though, that'd be really far away). Maybe an adventure in Greek would be pretty cool.

*pushes up nerd glasses* Technically Adol's from the Ys equivalent of the Ural Mountains... so more like Russia.
More on topic... the same source that the little factoid above comes from says something about the Tigris River. So that'd be pretty high up the list for me... like Iraq or thereabouts. It'd work well too because one of the world's oldest civilizations is there. Also Romn. That would make the uber-Ys game.

Wouldn't Romn end up being a little too climactic? You'd think they'd save that for near the end of the series.
Also, wherever it ends up being, the next game better have shit about the Eldeen. I don't like how they totally ignored them in Ys Seven.

the last game of the series would somehow tied ALL the games together...

As long as there've been Eldeen there, I totally agree. What influence would they have had on Japanese culture, ect? I definitely agree though that we need more Eldeen. Maybe the japanese have Jade Cleria. OoOOoooOOOooOoo... Or would jade be more China? Eh. I tried. GARMAN AND ISPANI!! Ooo Ispani could be awesome *pushes up nerd glasses* Technically Adol's from the Ys equivalent of the Ural Mountains... so more like Russia. More on topic... the same source that the little factoid above comes from says something about the Tigris River. So that'd be pretty high up the list for me... like Iraq or thereabouts. It'd work well too because one of the world's oldest civilizations is there. Also Romn. That would make the uber-Ys game. Romn would totally be uber, and the only reason its not my top vote is how hard it would be to go from there. What source gave you Russia, btw? I'm not doubting, I just wanna know so I can learn how to achieve your greatness!!! Definitely agree on the Babylon area awesomeness. Yeah, Adol's about due for an adventure in Romn, I think. That would be my top choice. -Tom I admit I feel giddy that people agree, but it feels silly to since its such a good thought Wouldn't Romn end up being a little too climactic? You'd think they'd save that for near the end of the series. Also, wherever it ends up being, the next game better have shit about the Eldeen. I don't like how they totally ignored them in Ys Seven. With video games, the end of a series seems to only exist if it was created with a plan in mind. IE: .hack had four editions, the first set anyway. Ys I and II seem planned as a set. Final Fantasy is up to 14, and they won't stop till they stop making money. Falcom shouldn't with Ys either, so it's likely to go on as long as they can. It'd be hard to make it be the end NOW as they're picking up steam, so... while I agree, it'd be hard for them to do that. the last game of the series would somehow tied ALL the games together... They should do that next time, and still have more

This took way longer for me to find than it should have, given its not too far down the same section of the forum: seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ysgeneral&action=display&thread=5296...more specifically from this screen: img811.imageshack.us/img811/5798/nowloading.jpgHehe, we've had this conversation before. Anyway, yeah it's best not to doubt my greatness ever.

I second Garman and Ispani. They could be fun. Also, I would like to see a game take place in the Orietta Region.

After Seven shoved a bunch of katana down our throats, there's no reason Adol can't go to Japan. In fact, they should make it a sub-series: Adol follows the Ys equivalent of the Silk Road and gets to hit up a bunch of oriental locales over the course of a couple games. Falcom already owes us that Orietta adventure so I say start with Babylon or its nearest equivalent and go east from there! Romn can wait. the last game of the series would somehow tied ALL the games together... I agree. In fact, I had some fun theorizing how they might do this here.

That thread is amazing. OH! Also, Adol needs to go into the middle eastern area of his world. Why if for no other reason? Because Talwars originated from there, and there, its actually a name too

I want Adol to visit Greek next! I need my Battle of Olympus experience! -Thomas I hadn't even considered this. That's actually a fairly awesome idea. I am also still wanting to see Grizzled Adol now... and I put another vote in for Feeners over Lilia. Honestly, I'm just really not fond of her. I enjoyed saving her, but every time i think of her I remember lethal illness that no one felt the need to tell her about, and how she was kinda thinking she was going to die and had made her peace with it... while everyone else was talking behind her back. It just... irks me. Hell, Elena would be better. But I think Elena and Olha would be cuter in a I-can't-justify-but-it's-true sort of way. Hooray for cat-elves!

Elena comes back as an action girl who has taken up her brother's sword after his death and trained under Berhardt.

SPINOFF GAME!!!
Elena, just back from training with Berhardt. Olha, having premonitions that her-of-Alma-ness destiny is not completed and she descendant is needed elsewhere, Terra, uhm... Not wanting to be left out!
We could call it Ys: Adol's Ange-... Elde...
Okay so I need a good name and an excuse for Terra.
Maybe Zalem could be their shop go-to girl...

They can form an all girl band, and then there'd be another great spin-off game I never play!

How could I forget Karna? Yes! And Mina from V, though I don't know anything she actually contributed! We need to let Falcom know this idea! We could make trillions! Maybe they could go somewhere with a beach. No ones gone to Hawaii yet...

Well going with the Adol's Angels idea, it could be a series of short stories where the girls are working together to take on minor adventures at Adol's behest but they're all secretly just trying trying to actually meet up with Adol again. At the end of ever story it seems like they're about to see him when something silly happens to prevent it from happening
