Any other Mega Man fans here? Sorry if a thread like this has been made but I looked back 3 pages or so, and even looked at the last page and didn't see one, and I don't feel like looking through all 16 pages to be honest. Anyway, my absolute favorite is Mega Man X2, it was the one I rented most as a kid and I have the fondest memories attributed mostly to the Mavericks (8 bosses) and soundtrack. The ones I haven't played are MM9, MM10, MMX7, and pretty much the entire Battle Network, Star Force, and Zero series along with the ZX series and Legends 2. I did have BN3 and Zero 1 for a short while, but got frustrated and sold them like I normally do when I get stuck. Dumb, yes but I'll eventually get Zero 1 back, I didn't care too much for BN3 because of the fetch-quests. There was even a Mega Man Soccer game I rented a few times. XD Discuss!

Love Mega Man. I too am a big fan of X2 (which doesn't seem to get a whole lot of love in comparison to its predecessor). I even made an X2 fansite.
Currently my biggest hype is waiting for Legends 3. Can't believe the game is actually happening...

Nice, would you mind providing a link?
I'm kind of dissapointed Legends 3 is going to be on the 3DS, but I guess Capcom knows what it's doing...if nothing else the sales will be good and it can go to the Wii as well.

The link to the fansite? It's in my sig.
And I think 3DS was probably the best answer. Legends 1 and 2 didn't do so hot, and 3DS seems to be guaranteed a successful future thanks to the DS.

Wow, the one piece of text I didn't read. *Facepalm*
I guess I was distracted bt the giant grey table image. XD
Also, about the 3DS, if it doesn't make it to the Wii, it could still make it to VS as well.

Mega Man Legends is the one series I haven't tried. Correction. I actually bought it, and then three memory cards crapped out on me. In a row. Which is INSANELY FRUSTRATING. I'm tempted to rip the ISO and hack it so it works on my PSP. I'm a huuuuge mega man fan. Classic, X, Zero (though I found the latter two games iffy, I loved the first two), the first two battle networks were pretty good... When Mega Man 9 came out I'd stayed up all night, and was so tired I was barely able to do anything, so I just learned the stages, and collected bolts. Then I actually mostly guessed the weapon order. I've gotten better at it with all the practice. AKA I got lucky. I know I mentioned it in your hi thread, but if you havent checked out Roahm Mythril and you're a fan of classic, you really need to. www.youtube.com/user/RoahmMythriledit: the web address showed up as the google search, oops He doesn't like Mega Man X, but I can't remember the screenname of the LPers who mimic him who do. I've started a similar perfect run for X1, no damage, no boss weapons, no charging, but it's harder than it looks and I only have two bosses down, along with the intro stage x.x

www.mmhp.netIt's just a hint/tip/walkthrough site, but it has good art too, and some sound clips from the Ruby Spears TV show. And to all of you haters, it was an awesome show.

Rhyanna: "And to all of you haters, it was an awesome show."
I agree, I really want to get the DVD sets. Also, MMHP was the first MM site I ever went to back when I was in like 2nd grade. I would just stare at the lists of sprites not knowing what the term sprite could possibly mean. XD
Rebel: "I've been frequenting the Legends 3 Devroom."
I entered an idea for the character submission contest for Mysterious Old Man. Sadly, I didn't win.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so Ruby spears Roll also, while still occasionally being useless... was also at least an attempt to insert a female with any kind of power into the dynamic pre Splash Woman in MM9. I admit, I always liked that interpretation

I love the old cartoon too. I'm an odd Megaman fan, in that I LOVE to play Legends, but I suck at the other ones so much that I just watch them be played. My little brother can beat X1 in under half an hour!
I too love X2 though. The music is radical. My bro once beat it without losing a life, using powers, or collecting any upgrades/zero parts.
He's a bad-ass.

Yo did someone say Mega Man? ;P Huge fan of the classic and X series
I'm not big into no-hit, buster only, and/or speed runs. I just play for fun and to this day will occasionally do a single-sitting clears for fun (though last time was pretty depressing.. my only audience fell asleep for the end of Mega Man 2 and slept through 80% of Mega Man 3. Not to mention the game-breaking bug I found AFTER defeating Wily in Mega Man 1)
I've played all the classic series (1-10, I-V on GB), love the soundtrack to 8, even own a SFC cart of Rockman & Forte, and once said "if I don't eat lunch today, I can afford another [PSX rerelease] Mega Man game" while studying abroad in Japan. I thoroughly love the X series, but stopped after X5.
Ruby Spears Mega Man was at least better than the Captain N Mega Man. How much of a mockery he was even angered me as a child.
Finally, Rhyanna I will loan you my copy of Misadventures of Tron Bonne if I have to. That game has to be experienced if nothing else from the Legends series

I love Mega Man! My favorites from classic series: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 ( the Genesis and Game Boy games rule too) Favorites from X: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8
I finished the first Legends Game, but never played the second one. I like the Zero games, too, but I never tried the Battle Network, ZX or Starforce games.

Woah, dude. You like 5 and 6, but not 3? Mega weird!
I mean, I'm cool with that opinion, I've just never seen it before. Although three did have a lot of extra stuff, I'll agree with that.

This thread reminds me that I still need to play Legends 1/2. Aside from the Classic series and the two Xtreme games, they're the only Mega Man games I've yet to beat. D:

I only played through X3 once back in the day, I really don't remember too much of the game but the soundtrack rules. I can't list it as a favorite because of my lack of experience re-playing it. My ultimate favorite from the X series is 5.
