Woah, dude. You like 5 and 6, but not 3? Mega weird! I mean, I'm cool with that opinion, I've just never seen it before. Although three did have a lot of extra stuff, I'll agree with that. I only played through X3 once back in the day, I really don't remember too much of the game but the soundtrack rules. I can't list it as a favorite because of my lack of experience re-playing it. My ultimate favorite from the X series is 5. You might've seen my post in the music thread where I said the X series belonged on the Super Nintendo's soundchip. It totally applies, because I think that 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, have worse soundtracks because of that. Blizzard Buffalo has a great themesong.

Classic: 1, 2, 3, 9, 10. X: 1-5. 1 was actually Maverick Hunters X for the PSP. Zero: All four. ZX: Both.
Those are all the Mega Man games I've played, I like most of them (X5 is the only one I dislike). Legends isn't PSP friendly, so unless they release them on PSN I won't be playing them any time soon, as they screw up on emulator.

I honestly don't like X5, it feels super rushed, then again, so does X6 and I like X6 if only because it's as hard as Mega Man 1.

My favorite games are:
Classic: 2, 4, 3, 7, 6, 1, 5, 8
Reasoning: 2 was my first. You love the first of something like this. Good replay value. Plus I can slack and use the US normal mode. 4 has the charge, and some of my favorite robot masters. 3 is a great solid game, but not my fave because I never loved the doc robots. Great music, though. 7 is a great game, with good bosses, good powers, items, and a classic feel on my favorite console. 6 has the rush adapters. Woot! 1 is good, but kinda unpolished and hard. 5 is just kinda... meh? 8 is just... bad. Let's not mention it.
I consider 9/10 to be special, and due to being such, I tie them with 4. They're special in that they're like mega man 2, let me play as protoman, and I bought them the first day they came out. Squee.
For X: 1, 4, 3, 2, 5, 6, 7, never played 8 1 is a classic, and I love it to tears. 4 lets you use zero. Whee! 3 also lets you use zero. but more limited. 2 is good all around, and has my most quoted X line. 5 has zero too, and more powers for him, but its just a little rushed, and the dumb american names are... dumb 6 is stupid. 7 lagged on my ps2 and I traded it in. no regrets.

Which would that be? =D

Rhyanna, it isn't like the Japanese names are much better. Chill Penguin is called Icy Penguingo for example.

She meant the X5 names. Which—despite X5 being my favorite X game—sucked ass.

You need to play X8, it's a pretty good game that's mostly like Maverick Hunter in that it's a classic style X game that's it's pretty much 2.5D (or 3D in 2D side scrolling), aside from the 2 Rider levels. I always download the game every now and then (I REALLY need to find and buy it) and play the ever loving crap out of it. Also, gameplay-wise, Axl doesn't suck in this one and is actually a rather decent character. whether you think he think he's still awful personality/voice-wise is all a matter of opinion. Also, X8 has one quote that keeps popping in my head every now & then, especially when talking about X8. Anyways, for me my most to least favorite Mega Man games are as follows: Classic: 3, 2, PU, 7, 6, 5, 10, 1, 4, 9, 8, MM&B (Never played the GB ones) X: 1/MHX, 2, 3, 8, 4, 5, 7, 6 (Never played Xtreme or Xtreme 2) Zero: 1, 4, 2, 3 Battle Network: 3, 4, 2, 1, NT, 6, 5 Star Force: 2, 1 (Never Played 3) ZX: it's a tie Legends: Only Played the N64 version of Legends

Peytral: "She meant the X5 names. Which—despite X5 being my favorite X game—sucked ass."Yeah, there are three, sometimes 4 versions of the Maverick's names in that one. It's utterly confusing.

Oh, Peytral, I know she meant the X5 names, I'm just saying that the Japanese names probably aren't much better.

I saw Legends 2 at a local game store the other day.
It was 63 dollars. T_T
Said game store also just puts piles of discs on top of each other in a random shady looking box with no covers or cases at all.
They honestly don't know what the Hell they are doing, right before I bought my item, my girlfreind noticed the casheir was checking his facebook. T_T

Also, Schlag owns MoTB? Cool stuff! I bought it used but it is in great condition and has the Legends 2 demo disc. Tron Bonne is the only Legends game I've ever played though. I guess I'll weigh in on my favorites Classic: 2 (only because it was my first does it get first), 3, 5, V, 9, and some of the music from 8 & IV X: 1, 2, 4 (btw I don't hate X5, just the time limit mechanic coupled with bosses having to be a certain level to get their special upgrades. Without that game I would enjoy it a lot more) Things I forgot from before: Man, when 9 came out. It was just like that Penny Arcade comic.. I played it and felt like I was a kid playing MM2 again. First night I had it, I got up to and stopped at the final boss. I have played Zero 1 & 2, and intend to get the Zero collection some day. Zero 1 I completed 100% and Zero 2 is when I started getting tired of my portables until I got my PSP.

Any other Mega Man fans here? Yes. Indeed. Megaman 1-10, X-X8, Legends 1 & 2, Misadventures of Tron Bonne, the X and classic collection for the PS2 and GameCube respectively (I wish I got the anniversary collection for the PS2...) the X RPG for the GameCube, Battle Network GBA, and Battle Network for the GCN are all I have. By extension, this means I also have Battle and Chase, Power Battle, and Power Fighters. I'm missing the Gameboy games, Genesis game and Game Gear game from my collection. I don't care about the DOS games or Famicom board game incarnations -- should I?

Probably not, although they would be kind of cool to have. XD
I've seen footage of the DOS game, and it's HORRIBLE. There isn't even any music.
I wouldn't mind the board game...games though. XD

Yeah right! there is only 8 in existence. (minus bootlegs) The chances of someone here having one of those are ridiculously improbable. XD

Oh wait, I forgot to add in Megaman Zero 1, 2, and Collection to my list of Megaman games. I'm trying to think if there's anything else... either way, the Game Gear game rocks. I didn't think the Game Gear was really capable of anything like that, aside from Alex Kidd. Unless I'm mixing up the Game Gear and SMS, and unless there's a REAL hardware difference between the two, more than just the SMS connecting to a TV. Golden Ax Warrior is great, for instance... so why are there so many *terrible* Sonic games for it? If Megaman can be fast, and scroll, Sonic should be able to as well!

Wasn't Mega Man for the game gear just Mega Man 5 with a super close up screen? I remember playing Star Man's stage and it was exactly the game as in the NES version, except that the screen didn't show as much as the NES version and I fell into spike & stuff a lot.
