It was for the PSX, Saturn (I think), and PC. I've played the PC version. It's rare, so if you should happen to find it, you should hold onto it. It's the only version of the three with difficulty options. (Though I don't notice the difference between the difficulty settings... the highest setting is still pretty easy.)

I know for sure it was for Saturn, not sure about PSX, and I'm sure about PC.

X3 also got a slightly enhanced PSX release. I own both.
PSX X3 has animated boss intro custscenes, an opening cutscene (I forget if there's an ending one, too), and CD audio music.. that isn't as good as the SNES music

The animated shit is cool though. I like the part where X shoots that lake snake mechaniloid like in Launch Octopus's stage from X1.
The CD audio music does indeed suck more than the SNES music. Nothing will ever replicate the time Zero first fell through that ceiling for me.

Maybe it is you that is the crazy one. But yeah, I agree that the SNES version music sound better. The arranged tunes in the PSX version sounded like they were done by an amateur, IMO.

Both the SNES bgm and CD bgm are awesome! Though I was unimpressed with the intro stage CD bgm.

Seconded, it didn't have the best soundtrack, but Toxic Seahorse and Crush Crawfish, Blast Hornet, and Gravity Beetle are all the justification I need. Edit note: Speaking of music, this exists. Mega Man X jazz. JAZZ. T_T

You're all crazy. The SNES music in X3 sucks. Hay, the music was composed by Kinuyo Yamashita. It's victorious.

Aren't there only like three bosses in that one? XD Yup. And then two wily forms that are identical. There's no invincibility on bosses, so weapon spam is queen. But the play control is AWFUL. Whats weird is the same guy who did "Mega Man" and "Mega Man 3" for the pc? Did Mega Man X for Dos too. It wasn't great, but it was an almost-completely-faithful port, not a piece of crap... And yes, ONE guy programmed all three of those games...

I'm a huge Mega Man fan and an even bigger fan of Dr. Wily. I own all of the original series, x series, and most of the earlier spin-offs such as Legends and Battle Network, Xtreme and Mega Man Zero games... Eventually though, I couldn't keep up with it anymore as the spin-offs started to spin out of control! But yeah, hardcore fan too. I've managed to get 200/200 achievements on the 360 versions of both Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10. Had to. It's the only way I could live with myself. : ) Btw, check these out if you are looking for some wonderful full color Mega Man artbooks! Mega Man Complete WorksMega Man X Complete Works-Thomas

This reminds me that I need to get Megamix Vol. 2. Volume 1 didn't last me long enough.

Karura: "I not sure if I should be called a Rockman fan, but I GODDAMN LOVE THE ZERO AND DASH SERIES!!!"I don't see why not, they are in fact Rock Man games. : D I know some people think Capcom should have stopped with the Classic and X series, but in my opinion that's just nostalgia goggles they're looking through. The only MM series that I don't like is Battle Network if only for the fetch quests. I haven't tried Star Force or ZX yet, but I can assume SF would only be slightly better than BN, if at all. Then again, I just like SF's artstyle more, even if I would have to fight just like in BN, but in first person. ZX just seems like a more light hearted version of the Zero series in my opinion and I enjoy the art style of that series as well...nothing negative to really say here. Legends I enjoy as much as Classic and X although I am more biased towards X than any other series. (Classic is nearly tied with it.) In the end I accept all the series although I know some fans do not because they aren't the same as the older MM games, but game series need to evolve and do their own thing to appeal to wider audiences. Besides, it's Capcom's property, they can do whatever they want with it. It's out of our control. [/endrant]
