Curious... what was your party combo?
Adol + which 2?
After you meet all playable... mine were Adol, Dogi and Geis
I think I like the bashing... lol Good thing Adol can use another ability.
I didn't like Aisha... or attack was weak and short... (and her whiny personality...)

(and her whiny personality...) I used the same party! I was also pretty stubborn about sticking with them, even when certain monsters were around that they couldn't harm too well. I used Aisha more at the end, but I never used Sigroon once. I didn't like her attitude towards Adol.

Same. I think that's a pretty popular combo. It's because those 2 appeared in previous game(s).

Same here. Occasionally I switched Geis for Elk. . . I think he got more money. . . or something.

Adol/Dogi/Geis because they're relevant to the overarching plotline of the series, unlike the rest of those pathetic throwaway characters whom we'll never hear from again.

Main party was Adol/Dogi/Geis or Adol/Dogi/Aisha. Sometimes switched them out for the others, but yeah.

Adol/Mishera/Crshe.
Everything dies.
(I still can't get myself to use Cruxie, it's like the terrible official romanization is ingrained into my mind. I blame Alternative Saga!)

Adol/Dogi/Aisha master race here.

Moonfile: Adol, Mishera, Cruxie. Englishfile: Adol, Mishera, Geis.
Can't go without Mishera, she's probably my favorite character in the game. But, if I had to pick having used both setups now, I'd pick Geis over Cruxie. Dude's way more fun to play.

I like Origin the most because he's only in it as a bonus. ^_^

Pretty much what Ashy said.
Also, HJ: Dogi doesn't do a whole lot besides break walls in terms of the overarching storyline, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. Geis I can somewhat understand, since he acts as a rival for Adol and is involved in some of the backstory.
The other characters in Seven were vital to the plot of the game, and we don't know if Falcom'll put any of them in the next (main series) entry.

u jelly cause Adol gets the women?
And lol, no. Dogi is the sidekick of the series and he often helps Adol out (in ways that involve crushing walls) and he's a prominent character who appears in almost every Ys game. He's way more important than those scrubs in Ys Seven.
In fact, the only new playable character in Seven who actually feels important to the plot is Aisha. Elk and especially Mishera are just walking plot devices that let you enter the sanctum and then do nothing. You could replace them with a key that performs the same purpose, and quite literally nothing would be lost from the story.
You're right that we don't know if Falcom will bring any of them back, but it's an educated guess that they won't. The series itself supports that theory.

Ys clearly needs more of Aisha's midriff.

Dogi may be Adol's sidekick, but only in a few games has he done something that actually affected the plot in a major way. I'll admit that Elk and Mishera weren't as important as Aisha, but Geis wasn't exactly required, either.

My favorite character in the game is Adol. That guy has no personality.

Elk was not bad, I had used him on occassion but wasn't the double edge weapon would cause himself damage?
Mishera was a better distance attacker then Aisha (and less annoying)
Sigroon is Cruxie's brother right? Didn't like 'em as much... it took too long to attack with their giant hammer...
but i did like the end boss and how it was done.

My party typically consisted of Adol, Dogi, and Aisha, although I did use the others quite often to keep them up to speed. Now that I think of it, though, I did use Geis quite a bit.
And I'll agree about Elk and Mishera's relevance to the plot--especially Mishera. Such a throwaway character, IMO.

Sigroon is Cruxie's brother right? Didn't like 'em as much... it took too long to attack with their giant hammer... I haven´t played the game, but I WOULD SWEAR that Sigroon was Aisha´s bodyguard and Crshe´s brother was Mustafa... thanks for the memory jolt... i was thinking of mustafa... who's sigroon then? body guard? the woman? she's not playable...

Sigroon is Aisha's body guard who also uses the bow and arrow. And she has purple-blue hair.
