Hmm. It doesn't seem to say anything about it at the site itself, but I did find the kotaku article. What's fucked up is that they notified Sega via a "formal letter" but the bastards waited until the project was FINISHED and RELEASED before putting their foot down. Ass holes. I'm sure they're smart enough to figure out what kind of public opinion this is going to bring them.

Yeah, do the rules permit me to circumnavigate Sega's dickery? While the creators of the game are happy for it to be freely distributed if the original IP holder has issued an active cease-and-desist it's probably better for ALoY if we keep ourselves out of it.
