No, you're remembering correctly and yeah, Well of Souls is a sort of de facto Iskan Temple and Sanctum rolled into one (the actual Moon Sanctum being a joke). Still, the whole idea behind the multiplat game is apparently to take the same basic elements and create a new game out of them. They could easily change things so Iska doesn't get shafted for dungeons if they want to, much like I imagine they'll be changing a few twists around to keep things fresh.

And while we're at it, how about a bigger fire sanctum? The one in SEVEN is like 3 areas. Where's the love?

As long as we're doing requests, some genuinely hard optional bosses would be nice too...
But to keep this on topic, nobody else has any love for Ys IV's music?

Another reason to post- "Best. Ys town theme. Ever," I'm actually a long-time (maybe not as long as some of you) fan of Colony of Lava, but the song is lacking that, uh..."towny" feel town themes tend to have. That song is more fitting to a ruined city or something. The one I think is best doesn't qualify in that department, either, though...Lost Method. I did a quick Youtube search, and somebody likes the Rehda town theme on their top 100 town themes--I'd never give it that much. Not Rimorge, the other one... Disclaimer: NONE of the above qualify as "Best. Ys song. Ever." Only contending for Best town blah blah...

I still say that the vocal version on the Felghana SAV is one of the best arrangements Falcom have ever done, though.

"Palace" and "First Step Towards Wars" Generally speaking, I prefer Falcom's older musics

Let's see... so many I could choose! From OiF there's Sealed Time and The Strongest Foe, both of which I absolutely love. And from Seven we have Vacant Interference and Great Tree of Shannoa... plus Ark of Napishtim has Ernst and Mighty Obstacle. I couldn't possibly choose just one from these, plus the hoardes of other excellent songs from the series!

Although very short, it's just too awesome. 'Ruins of Moondoria'.

Oh dear, I never made a proper post with my favorites? Let's fix that.
I'm torn between Beat of Destruction (Felghana version) and Palace of Destruction (Chronicles). Kinda funny how that pans out, but I absolutely love both of them. They're some of my favorite themes in any game, in fact.

My personal favorite is a sealed time from Ys 3/oath at felgana, with a great ordeal from 4 and the place where souls return from 7 being tied for my second favorite, tension from 1 and palace of salmon from 2 being third.
