Ehhh... That's actually how I got the extras disk to begin with. Wyrdwad posted a link to a rip of his in an old thread here. What I'm saying is that you can patch that version to Vista 1.1.0.3 and it works fine. I think there's only 3 base versions XP vista and Win7 XP with Extras disc is the vista version.

I see. ~
You mean that we will only need one patch in case the Vista and Win7 files aren't different, and 2 in case they are, right? If so, I agree.

I'm more saying that the Extras disk upgrades the XP version to the vista version
There are 3 base versions of the game with their own patches
XP 1.0.0.0: This was the original disc first released in 06. The latest patch for this disk is 1.1.0.0 however when you use the extras disk on the original 1.0.0.0 this also produces a 1.1.0.0 game. but you can patch this with vista 1.1.0.3 and it will work. You can't patch an XP disk without the extras patch to 1.1.0.3 but there is an XP 1.1.0.0 patch that doesn't include the extras disk.
Vista 1.1.0.0 This is the DVD with the extras disk already included you can patch this to 1.1.0.3
Win7 I don't really know but i'm assuming 1.2.0.0 or the packaging was just changed to reflect that it works on win7.

This is really exciting. I just reinstalled the game yesterday, so I can't wait to finally be able to read it! // As for a relevant response, sorry. I only have the XP DVD ver. + Extra Disc.

Try to patch that with Vista 1.1.0.3 and tell me if it works. because it works for me.
My whole point is that there 2 1.1.0.0 files. one witjout the extras disk one with it that can be patched to 1.1.0.3. I think this is important info for the project.
Sorry for the forcefulness. I'm using Vista 64 bit by the way.

Hi to you all and thanks for helping.
As bugs alredy wrote and we already know there are two main situations:
A) falcom released a fuist 1.00 version of the game in 2006, that version can be upgraded in two ways:
1) Patchinb with the 1100 officla patch; the resullt will be a 1100 version without extra disk
2) With the etra disk; applying it will result a 1100 version with extra added
NB the DVD version that. I have is already a 1100 version with extras.
All the 1100 with etras can be updated to 1103 with official 1103 patch extending the compatibility to Windows Vista.
Right here right now?
The only final question is if the latest Win 7 DVD version is the same software of the 1103. Nothing else.

If anyone can direct me to a reputable site I'll buy the Win7 Version to check.

Thank you Doppiapunta. Ok so 4800 yen is about 60 USD. (I live in the northeastern united states.) What would the total be after taxes and customs. $80, $100. Can someone who's done this from within the continental US let me know what i can expect? It kind of bothers me to send out my credit card number in a plain semi-encrypted E-mail. If I do this can I get a mention in the readme J/K J/k

Wel.. I don't know of it works in USa but I often ordered from Falcom in the last two years and I never payd any additional tax. Falcom send its goods by EMS courier who seems to not apply any additional tax. About credit card number: I always send not encrypted mail to them, as all the other guys over the worls. I never had any trouble and, trust me, i bought a lot of things from them ( all Ys series, sora no kiseki series, zwei series, xanadu, gurumin etc) without experiencing any trouble. Anyway...in order to well understand how to order from them look at this thread: seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=falcom&thread=1163&page=1#18142Bye Bye

You guys are lucky with such "taxes/customs". *envies* Yea.... Italy doesn't have any customs or import Taxes/Tariffs? After researching this a little my bill would shake out as follows: (This is in US Dollars by the way) $60 for the game $30 for shipping $10-20 for Taxes $100 - $110 total for one game I already bought from a friend back in 08 for $40. I got the other Ys PC games from various Ebay Auctions To Doppiapunta Thank you VERY much for listening and for your help with that order form I'm REAAALLLY sorry but I don't have the money to do this right now. I didn't realize how expensive this would get. There are a few people here with the free Groupon version of the game. I would think that would be the same as the Win7 DVD.

GROUPON version: 1.0.0.1 I guess it isn't. Also: You guys are lucky with such "taxes/customs". *envies* Yea.... Italy doesn't have any customs or import Taxes/Tariffs? I meant you both actually. XD In here (Brazil), it's ridiculous how much that game would come for. And in some others places like in Pakistan even worse. And there might be even worse out there. @_@

Yea that's my point exactly. Again sorry for the forcefulness. If anyone can direct me to a reputable site I'll buy the Win7 Version to check. I just picked up a copy of Origin last month from the mail order service... my version number says 1.1.1.0.

Well this proves that the Vista and 7 versions are different. I think there needs to be 3 patches like Ys6 WinXP 1.1.0.0 Vista 1.1.0.3 Win7 1.1.1.0 The extras disc 1.1.0.0 can be upgraded to 1.1.0.3 and thus doesn't need to be supported but I think this is the version that Doppia is hacking. Well whatever Doppia decides, I wish him luck. 1.1.0.3 doesn't add vista support it actually fixes bugs What it does is described here. www.falcom.com/yso/program_vis.html

Hello. I have to correct you. 1103 version si the dedicated Vista one and you can see it in this page: www.falcom.com/yso/support.htmlYou linked directly the vita update page so you were mistaken by that. BTW...the 1103 is the VISTA one. Now... I have one question: where did you read that Win 7 version is the 1.1.1.0 version? Do you have the game? Do you know a guy who has it? Where did you read thsi information? Thank you

That is my copy, I bought this about a month ago... This is the only place I found the version number of the .exe file. I didn't see anywhere in game that had the info.

Hello lipp74 glad to know tat somebody has the latest win 7 edition. thank you for the image you posted... now we have the proof that win 7 version is different and it has 1.1.1.0 version. Now...are you pleased to help me in makin' an english patch for windows 7 version? If so please tell me and I'll contact you by PM and we will talk about it privatly without botherin' all the other memebers with useless technical stuff. I really want to stress that I don't need any pirated copy of the game ( I already own two copies of the game) but I only need some technical informations such as archives present in the game, their name, structure and nothing else. Thank you
