There's no topic like this already? Cool. Silver Will can crash and burn--I've grown tired of it and its arrangements. Granted, I never particularly cared for it in the first place, so I don't understand why it's popular. Maybe someone sees something in it I don't... I've been rather fond of Let's Be Lively. And you thought Chrono Trigger had a good OST? This carnival theme is better. Objectively speaking, the best in the game probably should be The Fading Light of the Sealed Land (you know, if not Silver Will). However...I was blown away upon hearing The Merciless Savior. DO NOT search it on Youtube if you have not finished FC (at the very least). I haven't gotten the third one or its soundtrack, so I can't comment at this time on those.
Does a pretentious signature change your perceived meaning of the post to which it is attached?
Well at least you're limiting it to the Sora games, if you said all the Kiseki games or (heaven help you) all the Legend of Heroes games I'd have to strangle you.
Anyhow, still a tough call. I'm torn between Realm of Hollow Light, Fateful Confrontation/Maybe It Was Fated, Silver Will Super Arrange Version, The Merciless Savior, Overdosing Heavenly Bliss and Castle of Illusions <Phantasmagoria>. They're all damned awesome songs. Ultimately I think I'm going to have to agree with Bucketmouse that The Merciless Savior deserves the vote but it's a narrow thing.
I dunno, I got kind of tired of hearing rearrangements of Sora no Kiseki after hearing it for the third song in a row in SC's final dungeon, especially since they already went down that route perfectly with Realm of Hollow Light in FC.
I'm also not terribly fond of The Ruined City Kishgal as a final dungeon BGM but apparently I'm in the minority there.
Other than that though? Yeah, Falcom's final dungeon BGMs rock.
