I found this on magicbox.com, anyone here know anymore about this? Is there a possibility this could somehow elude to a new Suikoden? Please, say it is so!
Konami's Frontier Gate producer Shingo Mukaitoge revealed that the Genso Suikoden team has been disbanded for a few years. The reason was that Konami lost their expertise on RPG, and the reason they hire Tri-Ace to create new RPG was because of their expertise.

The creator of Suikoden left the company during the third game. It was noticeable in future entries. Far as I'm concerned, there hasn't been a real Suikoden since.

Yeah, I know about the creator leaving, though, I actually enjoyed 4, 5 & Tactics, 3 was meh for me, & the DS one was good as it's own game, but, not very satisfying as a Suikoden.

The creator left and after that point nobody wanted to make a new game that went forward in time. So instead they used worlds he had already created and made games in the past. The entire team being disbanded years ago is pretty good evidence of no more main title games unless the creator decides to come back.
