Hmm, I'm playing DJ Max Portable 2. It is way better than 3, but geez, why do I suck so much I can't play not-4B modes.
I'm a poop suck!

Oh and I borrowed a friend's Rock Band 2 guitar so I could use the auto calibrate feature and figure out the video/audio delays on my 360. Apparently it's a lot worse than I thought (17ms audio, 25ms video). So I fixed my numbers in DJ Hero 2 and suddenly became a lot better at that game! Yay for finally being able to do chirps all the time
Also the Trance Anthem pack that came out recently for DJ Hero 2 is pretty good despite not actually having any real Anthems in it. Bonus for using a Ferry Corsten song as one of the mixes. A couple of my friends recognized everyone in the pack except Corsten. I bought the pack FOR Corsten

Hmm, I'm playing DJ Max Portable 2. It is way better than 3, but geez, why do I suck so much I can't play not-4B modes. I'm a poop suck! Practice! Took me a while before I was able to play some 6B tunes but even now, I still have limits like I can't play tunes that are a certain difficulty or higher. .___. Hell, level 12 and 13 4B tunes still kill me. Blythe on DJMP1 is insta-death for me. :(((((( Now you made me want to bust out DJMax stuff and Schlagwerk made me wish I had some friends around here I can play Rock Bank with. :( I think I'll reboot my system into XP so I can have some Trilogy fun~!

I bring this thread back from the netherworlds!!!! Just tried out something called TunesWorld touch. The gameplay is reminiscent to TAP SONIC (which is by the fine folks that brought out some DJMax games). It also looks like Tap Tap Revenge and its billion clones but the main difference is that you have hold notes that span across keys and can even go in funky number-5-like patterns and such. However, since TAP SONIC is only available to people that have a Korean iTunes account, TunesWorld touch is your best alternative. The problem with TWt is that it auto-generates note patterns on the spot which means you ain't playing the best patterns ever and certainly not even playing much to the beat of a song. The good thing about it is that you get to play the music you already have on your idevice. :D Oh, and the Premium version of TWt has unlimited play unlike the pay-per-play crap that TAP SONIC does. The Free and regular editions of TunesWorld also have a pfp system though and it's hilarious how the Free version has you paying 30 Points per game but you can only win back 5 - 10 Points if you clear it. >_> I believe the 10 Points only happen if you get a high rank (like S rank) too. Edit: Turns out that this thing is more like a StepMania version of TAP SONIC in that you have options to change the skin, turn off the hold and slides notes, and some other stuff. Still sucks hardcore that the point system makes absolutely no sense in the Free mode. Like ... why even offer the chance to win back points if they're not going to accumulate? >_>

Gonna be keeping this thread ALIVE. 5-song medley course on Hard in Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX. Was trying for a 999-hit combo. Oh well. :/ I can't seem to find a log of medley course scores. D: Guess they couldn't fit all that in. I honestly can't even recall the songs I played for this because I used the random feature. :B twitpic.com/61gl30

I *finally* ordered DJ Max Trilogy! Anyone have helpful advice for a newbie? The last time I played a Beatmania was on my GBC :O Uh ... it's fun! And you can't lose the USB key because you won't be able to play it without it! Also, you can only have one profile at a time. There is an unofficial profile back-up app by some guy at the Bemanistyle forums though. I have no idea if you could use that to "migrate" the profile to another system though. You will also grind till your fingers bleed. Luckily, there is a hack program out there that lets you edit experience in the game. I used it to get to level 70 in no time! (Levelling unlocks certain tunes and stuff.) I never figured out how to hack the gold/money though. :/ SIIIIIIIIIIIGGGH. Some Trilogy thread at Bemanistyle keeps track of the patches and have links to them. Sometimes, the game server is demented and you won't be able to finish downloading or installing a patch so using getting them from there is a good idea~ Oh! The Trilogy exclusive tunes (well, they WERE exclusive back then. I think they've found their way to Technika and maybe even Tap Sonic???) give you a lot of experience, IIRC. I ... can't think of any other gameplay tips. .___.;;
