Yeah, I do. Not as much as I used to though. I was really into Dance Dance Revolution before I found Beatmania and Guitar Freaks. But all I really play now is Pop'n Music. My fiancee and I purchased a Desktop Arcade Pop'n Music Controller about a year ago because we enjoy playing it so much.

The games themselves seem to be typical prices but it's the shipping that's a killer ... unless you use that SAL shipping which is shipping by sea. :P Of course, that's only for the patient people cuz it takes weeks for that stuff to come. :B Pentavision released DLC for DJMCE and DJMBS. I downloaded the one for Clazziquai Edition and to a crapoid player like me, they really jacked up the difficulty for the Club Tour and made some Normal mode patterns into Hard or MX ones. OTL Creator 4B with the DLC update destroys me thumbs. I have major problems doing the left, up, triangle, and circle or vice versa patterns. I do believe you're typically supposed to just run your left thumb across the left and up and the right one across the triangle and circle but I don't have the reflexes to do it to it in time with the notes. >_> What's worse is that I'm playing the game on a plump PSP. >__________<

I'll have to try that one out. Though, I wonder if it can beat the arcade version of Taiko no Tatsujin. I love playing that. It's so loud! : )__ I played it in Japan while visiting there.

Well, you'll be hitting like 5(?) things instead of the 2 in TnT so the experience is quite different! I really wanted to play DrumMania at Gameworks in Seattle but the machine wasn't working. >:( But! At least I got to try out the arcade versions of Taiko no Tatsujin and Pop'n Music! :D!!!! Heh, I think I actually played every working rhythm game in there. :E Well, except for one of the DDRs cuz there were always people using it. 9_9 The same people. Over and over.

Man, there's too many games in this genre, and they're all generally too expensive. $200 for a preschool guitar, a preschool drum kit, and a preschool microphone? Maybe later on in life, when I can afford all of that.

If you ever do play it, try a few of the absolute easiest songs first and foremost, and once you've gotten the hang of it, look for "Train Train". There is no better song to get a person hooked on DrumMania than Train Train. It's fun in Taiko no Tatsujin, but it's AMAZING in DrumMania. And despite appearances, it's easier to play than it looks. I HATE TRAIN TRAIN. Ever since hearing/playing it in TnT Portable, I now avoid it like a plague. (It's in the Wii version too.) Linda Linda is infinitely better. The one song I loved to play in DM was Ai no Shirushi by Puffy. XD I believe it's one of the easiest tunes on whatever version I was playing but still fun~!!! I played the song on GuitarFreaks as well and sang along to boot!!! XD!

Play Train Train in DrumMania sometime, if you get a chance. It may just change your mind about the song. Not gonna happen. No amount of awesome note patterns will cause me to like it. :B It's like the DBZ song, Cha-la-head Cha-la. I could probably play it into the ground in Taiko and STILL not like it. Of course, not that I'll ever subject myself to repetition to that extent. :E

That still won't stop me from not liking the actual song. :E
Ugh. Man~ I've been playing DJMAX Trilogy for the past 2 days and GODDAMMIT, the missions piss me off. There's this one 5-Key mission where you're supposed to get fever 2 times in a stage and I KNOW I can clear the requirement with the first, third, and fourth songs without issue but aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, I can't get 3x fever on the 2nd song for the life of me. I've played it about 5 times in a fucking row and my shitty accuracy just doesn't allow me to get another fever. >___<
I've never been able to do the song on Portable 2 well and it just so happens that the bloody Trilogy version uses the same freakin' note pattern!
UGH!! It's so damn frustrating to know that I can't pass it because of ONE FUCKING TUNE.
*runs away raging*

You also need more DJMAX Trilogy! Fear my pathetic gameplay. (I like to think of MX as the equivalent of DDR Oni. :3)

Pop'n Music for Wii coming to North America.
What?
Why is Konami of America even bothering anymore?
From the early screens, it looks like it's only 5-button mode. But to play that with the Wiimote and nunchuck?
What?
I'm not even curious as to how it's going to work. I'm still annoyed that they're STILL trying even after Rock Revolution.

As for Pop'n Music... yeah, it's destined to fail, and being horribly mishandled by Konami, just as Rock Revolution was. But again, at least they're kinda sorta making an effort. Someone just needs to teach them what effort IS, and how to go about making it, because this is just getting kind of pathetic now. You know what's even worse (maybe)? This is an actual Konami Japan creation. I can kind of see it taking off over there cuz the culture's different but over here? Uh, no. Besides, we all know KoA's gonna swap out the fun Jpop tunes for punkass popular English music. I KNOW I shouldn't pass judgement on this but just the thought of using those two controllers ... ugh. There's also a mini argument going on at the Bemanistyle news about the localization of the title. Apparently, KoA doesn't have a say in what sort of shit goes into this stuff? I guess all KoA's responsible for is translating everything into English? I find that kind of hard to believe cuz I'd figure that the song list is something that the American side would have a hand in.

I don't know if this counts, and you can hit me if you want, but I tried DJ Hero last night. Simply put, I loved it!
The controller is damn cool, and while there are only 3 streams to work with, the cross fade, and scratching are damn fun.
Have you tried it yet nunuu?

Totally try before you buy. I found myself really enjoying the controller interface, even with songs I usually disliked. The cool thing is each "Song" is actually 2 different tracks mixed together, which adds a whole bunch of originality.

As the name might give away, I'm a music game player. These days I'm only actively playing beatmaniaIIDX and Rock Band, but over the years I have played almost any music game you can think of.
I was also the person in charge of the music gaming section of the Otakon Video Game Room for the past 4 or 5 years.
