The graphics glitch up on my way back to Solomon Shrine. I had just bought a complete set of Tier 3 equipment too. I can always just start the game over again. I'm just glad the emulator I'm using has a Fast Forward command that I can toggle for when I'm needing to level up. I can't belive that just happened. I'm playing on VirtuaNES.

I personally use FCEUltraX or something like so. Hm, odd glitch. Not sure what I could do to help other than suggest that emulator and check to make sure your ROM is a good one.

Thanks. I haven't used that emulator in so long. I'll give it a try later. Also here's my youtube video that talks about the glitch. My speech was getting sloopy because, I need to be sleeping soon.

I personally played through that game with it, patched to English. Never had any trouble of that kind personally. Also, just noticed you are a newcomer, so, welcome.

I havn't used emulators in quite a while but I remember something similer happing to me in Tails of Phantasia. What I would do to fix it was save to sram and reload. It was suggest to me by someone else on the basis that if you played a game on emulator and only used the save states that would be the same as running the system straight through the entire game and for some games the memory doesn't get handled to well or something like that.
I don't know if thats true. I remember leaving my nes on for very long periods of time playing through mario 3 as a kid. It's worth a shot though.
PS. My nes emu of choice was always nestopia

Hm, that could be it. When I play games on emulators nowadays, I refuse to use save states. I prefer to just save normally.

I can confirm the plausibility of the above statements. I got to a point in Legend of Heores for PCE (LOVE that voice acting!) where I just COULDN'T proceed. The character I was supposed to talk to was giving me the same dialogue he did before I was supposed to see him. After tons of scouring the game, I closed it, loaded it normally (the save was even made AFTER I hit the plot wall), and the game proceeded as intended.
Since then I always use normal saves for RPGs, and only savestate for convenience.
