Im sorry if this has already been done, if it has and this is annoying.. you can have it locked/deleted/whatever it is you guys do... well... here is my top 5 (i have a top 10 and 20... but im not too confident in their orders) 1. Lufia/Estpolis Denki 2. The Legend of Zelda 3. Mega Man X 4. Castlevania 5. Ys OMG, blasphemy! Ys is 5th... well, as I explained in my first post here, im a 2 month old n00b and have only played I and II on NES and III on SNES, and im working on IV (SFC) right now... but Ys has hit me so hard that it has quickly climed up the 20 or so series i love and rached the top 5.

sure, why not... whatever you can concauct. i'd think it'd be easier to list series in general tho, not induvidual games... in no perticular order, even...

uhm, tough choice... maybe something like this:
1. Ys 2. Super Mario Bros (SM64 is probably the best game ever!) 3. Zelda 4. Phantasy Star 5. Dragon Warrior
I would love to have Turrican on the list because Turrican 2 on the Amiga is one of my all time favourite games but Turrican 1 isn't very good, and to be honest, Turrican 3 was a big dissapointment too. I have only played Dragon Warrior 4 (NES version) so it's a possability that Dragon Warrior will climb on the list in the future.

Not sure about top 5 1-Ys 2- Suikoden 3-Lunar 4-Metroid
5-It could be several between Bonk, Wild Arms, Star Soldier, Jak & Daxter, or even Tomb Raider if TR: Legend turns out good. The other 4 are pretty hard for me to overcome though......though I'm more partial to the 2D Metroids. The DS Demo of Metroid didn't interest me, & I haven't gotten MP 2 yet, I really want a remake of Metroid 2 for GBA, that would rock!

Interesting to see other Mega Man and and Castlevania fans (Zelda is a given... zelda fans are everywhere ) ive always got a feeling of Castlevania and Mega Man X in one way or another from Ys (for mega man, i guess its mostly the music, especialy cuz of Mask of the Sun). But ive heard that many games have been influnced by Ys anyways (Lufia's music, for one) so i guess that could explain it.

^^^ the series has changed now. you dont go after dracula anymore... Aria of Sorrow (GBA) and Lament of Innosence (PS2) changed that. Also, it's no longer a short side scrolling series like the first few games in the series were (I to III on NES, IV and X on SNES, etc) it's almost like metroid in it's level design and has rpg elements in it (it's been that way since SOTN on PSone).

Hmmm...well...tough call. Here's my current list, though:
1) Valis 2) Ys 3) Dance Dance Revolution 4) Final Fantasy 5) Mega Man
As you may have noticed, two of them are Falcom/Telenet games: Valis and Ys. I am, for all I know, the #1 Valis fanboy. ^^" Anyone else on here that loves Valis, contact me. I'm dying to know who else even knows of the game.
Of course I wouldn't have registered here if I wasn't interested in Ys. It's just that friggin' awesome. ^_~ b
I've been playing DDR for roughly three months now. I'm already a Heavy player, so...yeah. I progress quickly, be it with thumbs or feet. ^_^ v
Final Fantasy and Zelda have long been at odds. I used to be a hardcore Zelda fan. I have to say I agree with Brutus in this regard: I love Zelda, but I love Final Fantasy more. Both are great series, I won't doubt that, but Zelda's really fallen by the wayside with me. The last Z game I had interest in was Majora's Mask, which I still own the Collector's Edition of (the one with the holographic cover). Final Fantasy has continued to blow me away. I've played 1, 2j/Origins, 3j, 7, 10, and 10-2. I've enjoyed each one.
And Megaman...gee...I've been playing it since before MM7 came out. It's been that long. I've played all 10 originals (1-8, Power Battles, Power Fighters) and X4 and X8 and Xtreme 2. I've thoroughly enjoyed the series, and though the X games are awesome (w00t to Zero, yo), I have to say I prefer the originals. They're too classic and too...well...awesome. Glad they made Anniversary Collection! ^^
There are others that I love that just didn't make this list. But...yeah.
First post...cool site...plan to stay here a good long time... ^_~ b

Well, I'm figuring atleast half of us here have heard of Valis, or played them all. The Turbo(which Valis is most commonly known from) also has Ys which brings us here. I wouldn't mind developing a 5th Valis game for Turbo with the Frozen Utopia team, somehow bringing back Yuko to the fight, but we already have Neutopia 3 we're working on, along with a Shadowrun styled game, a Final Fight styled game, & a Metroid styled game in our near future(these 3 are pending the approval of Nodtveidt, the head programmer). But, another Valis is something I'd like to someday explore, it maybe be a while though. Although it would be the best looking & sounding & playing Valis of the whole series. We got great programmers, tile developer, sprite artists, & musicsians(myself & Jevax).

^^ you're a developer? lol, im actualy also planning to get into the business as a game director. but my plan is to get to n-land or even falcom in japan (i know the crazyness behind that, but hey... ive seen it happen before, so its possible)
so do you have your own team or something?

I'm the main musician for our team, Frozen Utopia, see us here frozenutopia.nodtveidt.net/about.html We're about to release Mysterious Song, which I only did a few touch ups on, I didn't do the actual music. And our next project is Neutopia 3. If you look at our forums, we have ideas running for a SNES Shadowrun-esque game, a Metroid-esque game, a kick n puch game, a party game, & a platformer. But, as Nodtveidt, the head programmer would say, we're mainly about RPG's & related stuff. If you have skills, I'm sure you'd be welcome. Mysterious Song is going to be free to download, we're not totally sure on Neutopia 3, since the original copyright is owned by Hudson Soft. LMK what you're capable of, at the very least, it'd be a learning experience for you, for when you get into doing real commercial games Edit-BTW, all are games are for the Turbo Grafx aka PC Engine.

Tell your sprite artists I feel their pain. I'm doing all of ours on my lonesome. How many do you have?

We have 2 sprite artists. I know one is Keranu, but I'm not sure who the other is, it's either the head programmer Nodtveit, or it's DeveloperX. We have one more guy that's fiddling around with sprites & tiles, not to mention game concepts, & both I & Nodtveidt agree are thinking of making him a member as well, if only for his great game concepts! But he doesn't know it yet, or atleast I don't think he does
