should I map the interior corridors or should i just label what door/entrance leads to where? most of the corridors are just straight paths. Attachments:

If memory serves, it's probably more effort than it's worth to show off the insides of that area. I seem to recall that all the chests are outside anyways so it's mostly figuring out which door leads to where you want to go, which you've already got covered on the outdoor maps.

How did I miss this? Nice GS. Yeah I agree just label the doors/entrances. That would have made that section of the game much easier.

SNES Ys4 is finished. should be up by the week end at VGMaps.com. PCE version is mush longer and slow going, so that will take some time.

If I put the YsIV Eng. dub patch on the ISO can the save files still work?

I would assume so. Personally, I haven't played the dubbed version on real hardware yet, but I fired it up in Magic Engine, & found that the save states still work after applying the patch.

in the PCE YS4 theirs an area called bagyu ba'dead and its SNES equivalent is lance mountain shrine. Is the PEC version a mistranslation? Is it really called that?

That's the name for the region where Ys used to be before it vanished and left that nice crater in the landscape. Complete and Chronicles both use Bagyu Ba'dead (well, the name in katakana) when referring to that area so Dawn of Ys was ahead of its time there. Mask isn't technically incorrect though.

Bagyu Badett or however that was spelt is mentioned by a Minea Town NPC in every Ys I version (not counting cellphone versions) ever since the first 1987 game, AFAIK. As for that name, it says "Chaos Forest-something-low-something". xD

PSX brave prove is finished, so now I can focus more on Ys4. Also I mapped out the 1st chapter of legend of xanadue 2 but I will not finish that game since its in (J) and there is no translation for it.

I finished playing this before Christmas and I plan on running through it a second time. I don't think I ever played the original, so I don't exactly know how the original two differ. Storyline-wise, I'm very interested to know how they're all different/similar. I wonder if there are any oops type of retconning going on? ;P
