Also known as Key of Heaven for PAL.
I came across this game and it reminded me of a Ys type game. It's for PSP and as I'm half-way through the game, I have definitely got a Ys vibe from it. To be more specific, it's more Ys 6 relating to how the magic works and enchancing your sword. I'm finding the game pretty addictive too.
Has anyone else picked this game up or heard of it? Thoughts? Seems quite like an underrated game.

I had heard of it before and it looked interesting. Unfortunately by the time I got a psp I had forgotten about it. And I just don't play handhelds very much anymore.

It's common for classic RPGs to reinterpret the legend of the four guardian creatures in Chinese legend (such as the Suzaku bird), which Falcom hasn't done yet.
It may be that the company incorporated a 'lost land' which would seem reminiscent of Ys games, but it sounds more like a reworking of the Onimusha concept of elemental swords, which Falcom did use.

Hi gpr,
Hmm, I think I own this. I had picked it up for $1.99 at Gamestop awhile back. Never got around to trying it, but I think I will now after reading your review. : )
