They just premiered the theme song in the newest trailer and in the last JDK concert. Does anyone know if there's a version of it without Falcom's CEO talking over it?

(Also, shouldn't the topic of this thread change to identify that it's about Nayuta no Kiseki?) Well floofy, it just did.

Well, haven't played any of the Kiseki games, but I agree with Schlagwerk in the sense that the characters at least DO feel heavily "japanese cliché-ed". And that does err me off from it a bit, as well. Not too much, because sometimes many other elements (story etc.) more than pay off for it, of that I'm aware. (I.e.: Tales of the Abyss. And some of the characters themselves improved beyond cliché levels, gladly, throughout the game. But yeah, there was still a lot of unnecessary cliché-ness even by the end, which I managed not to mind, considering the other huge amount of awesomeness. ) Also, I personally feel they dropped LoH/ED out of the title because of how its very genre strayed away from all LoHs, as well. Not something like what happened with ED3 dropping "Dragon Slayer" from the title. Lastly, I just happened to see this: Story Action-RPG, seriously? XD Though I kind of see what they mean, even if... such a genre name feels silly. XD (And personally, to me, this DOES strike me as "ARPG with stereotypical japanese characters and drama". But I think the "ARPG" part of this is capable of winning anyone, so I don't mind it much. Plus, who knows how well they will handle all the characters etc..) www.siliconera.com/2012/05/25/dont-call-trails-of-nayuta-an-action-rpg-its-a-story-arpg/Anyway, this looks more of a Zwei successor to me than Ys. Which is... fun. I'm interested. But naturally, not THAT interested, as it isn't Zwei or Gurumin-related, nor Ys-related. ...But I must know what all Ys cameos this one holds, as well! So far, all LoH7 games (I mean ZnK and AnK, although I'm not sure if the latter counts as LoH7 SC or something) have had at LEAST one Ys cameo each. So I'll DEFINITELY research and perhaps even play this to hunt down those.

Hmmm, the story-heavy part sort of makes me not want to buy it until it's released in English. I've only played SnK FC so far, and I feel like that would have been a bit of a waste of time without being able to understand the dialogue. I guess this is bridging the gap between SnK and Ys, but I wonder in what ratio of action:story.

So, our newest character reveals are a professor from a northern empire who wants to study the ruins on Remnant Isle and his assistants. I'm going to repeat something I said on Endless History: Nayuta should plant his sword in the man's face at the earliest possible opportunity, just to be on the safe side.

My opinions:
This game sure looks BEAUTIFUL. Technically it's nothing impressive but I love those colourful places. Seems to play like Zwei with some Ys Seven, with Felghana/Origin stat bonuses and platforming. Kiseki sidequest system and story quality it seems. Dungeons divided in stages? Sounds interesting.
I totally need to play this game, even if it's in moonrunes and never gets localized.

I read nothing in the rules about double posting so I'll just do it. I obtained the game today through some less than moral means and managed to play it. Random notes: -The game appears to use the Ys Seven engine. It has lots of pretty effects though. -The game plays like Zwei. By pressing Circle, Nayuta will do a slash combo, pressing Square will cause Noi to use her magic. -The game also has a Jump and Dodge button (X and Triangle respectively). Jumping behaves just like in YsF and YsO while dodging behaves just like Ys7. Nayuta can double jump right away, no need for magical item or plot power. -Noi's magic is limited in uses but recharges over time. -Combo Chains give you bonuses similar to the potion drops in YsF and YsO. 20 Combo does STR UP, 40 Combo gives you INT UP and 60 Combo does MIRA UP -Equipment on Nayuta reflects on his character model. I equipped him with a bandana and then Nayuta was wearing said bandana. We knew this on Noi though. -You can cook Lunch Boxes by giving the ingredients to Eartha. Lunch Boxes behave just like food in Zwei, they restore HP and increase EXP. -You gain EXP by killing enemies or eating food. -The mailbox outside Nayuta's house behaves like the Bracer Guild's billboards. -When in town, you talk to people with Circle and do quest-related things with Square. -Lyra's first appearance was just damned adorable. -The Falcom rule applies. Music ranges from awesome to catchy. -Dungeons are divided into stages. The first stage was really short, it was as big as one dungeon floor in Zwei 2. -You can teleport from anywhere into Renmant Island or Lost Heaven by pressing Select and choosing the location. You eat lunch boxes in the same menu. -There's a Museum in Renmant Island. You can sell bugs and have your treasures displayed there. -Music and voice acting is of high quality. However, sound effects seem to have dropped in quality to allow that. Plot related stuff: -Some ruins fall from the sky into the sea near Renmant Island. You find Noi there. -Selam has gold eyes. -Signa seems to have a mysterious past. How surprising. Basically, it's Zwei 3: Kiseki Plot Edition. Faced the first boss, it was really easy but I guess boss battles will get tougher as you progress. Also, some songs:

Either I'm becoming even more a fan of JDK's music, or they're getting better, because the quality of their compositions seems to keep improving.

Now that Falcom finished Nayuta, I'm sure they have time to, you know, collaborate with XSEED and localize Brandish? Please Waiting for more MP3 rips.

Oh BTW, I made a mistake in my upload: The "Water Cave" was actually the song used in the "Sea Ruins", the very first dungeon. I uploaded a few more songs: Nayuta OST - Ruins (Played in forest altar dungeon) Nayuta OST - Spring ForestNayuta OST - Summer ForestNayuta OST - Water Cove (Summer I believe) I get rips as I play the game, but to be honest I kinda want to stop uploading until the official soundtrack gets released. I dunno. If anyone wants MP3 versions of these, hit me with a PM and I'll gladly share.

Either I'm becoming even more a fan of JDK's music, or they're getting better, because the quality of their compositions seems to keep improving. OR or or your ears finally adjusted to there quality, just kidding, seriously though, it is really amazing how they can keep making more epic music, just when we thought they will never top the last one , they breeze there way to higher levels. BTW, do you people believe in Music addicting?

Nah, my ears have been adjusted to their awesomeness for a while.
Actually, I had a similar thought about being addicted to music. There are moments where I do not have a chance to listen to my music for like a week, and I start to get edgy until I can sit back and relax with my tunes.

How do you rip them? Converting the AT3 files into MP3s or with an audio recorder?

While it is technically converting AT3, I'm not doing it.
I play the game in JPCSP (PSP emulator) which uses SonicStage for sound decoding. Whatever Falcom uses for encoding it seems that it requires a dump because I get the full songs in lossless WAVs in a temporal folder.
So, if the song plays I get a rip of it. I haven't played since the last music upload so I haven't got anything new, other than event and map music.

Looks like someone uploaded a lot of tracks. I'm searching the one that sounds in this trailer and the Final Boss Theme (I want to hear the latest in Falcom Sound Team's awesome final battle themes, although I don't expect it to archive the epicness of The Azure Arbitrator).

Oh great. I can stop uploading already.
I'd rather wait for an official OST so we can get tracklists but please point me to the final boss theme if you find it.

I Xseed did ever take this game on, I assume the buttons would be switched around. But, about the story, would you guys maybe do some rewriting per your own gripes with the characters & such, or would that possibly push the release of the game so far back that it wouldn't be worth it financially?
Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like this game(with what little I've read), has very little, if no connection to Trails, & could easily come over without the need of Trails 2 & 3 already having been released....not to mention Zero & Blue!

XSEED should not lose their time with this and bring something more awesome, with FAR better soundtrack, less text and no voice-acting. Yes, I talk about Brandish: The Dark Revenant, please
