Anyone play Soul Calibur V? It has less content than SCIV (somehow), but it's still fun, has an updated character creation system (though there are parts that I wish were available but weren't) and has excellent online experience.
Surprisingly, I have not met a Sephiroth and a Cloud online, though there are people that made Adol Christine in 4chan (never met the player though).

I'm very much interested in getting this one, but money is kind of tight these days. Kind of surprised to see how little interest the game is generating, though. Guess Namco burned some bridges with IV.

I haven't played any Soul games since Soulblade on the original Playstation, but I'm tempted to buy this now just because creating your own character and playing online sounds exciting. :'D That Alis is fabulous, too!

Well the Soul Calibur franchise is more popular in France and the west than Japan, and with video games being a business first and foremost, Namco just sees more money in the Tekken franchise.
But hey if anything, get SCV for the character creation and probably one of the best online lobby system and netcode in a current gen fighting game.

You raise an interesting point. I'd honestly thought Tekken had gone the way of Toshinden, considering how few people actively talk about it these days. And yet here we are with four Tekken releases within at least a year's time:
Tekken Hybrid SF x Tekken Tekken Tag 2 Tekken x SF
What in the fudge is Namco thinking? Capcom can get away with that kind of shit because SF is much more universal. Tekken has always been more rigid in execution, and features a less likeable cast. It would be like Sega making five different Eternal Champions games over the next 12 months.
Well, not quite. I'd actually like to play a new Eternal Champions game.

Good idea - make Eternal Champions characters in SCV!
