Well, if you haven't had a cnance to play Origin yet, you'll get a further chance to rekindle your Ys spirit when XSEED releases it on Steam.
Oh yes, advice. Once you get the hang of Flash Guard, even the hardest boss battles become a lot easier (not that Seven is a terribly difficult game to begin with). It doesn't have a tutorial so unless you read the manual it's easy to forget it's there. Pressing L and R together triggers it but it's easy to accidentally use an Ex Skill by mistake if you have a full gauge so it's best to hold R and then press L right when you need to block. Do it right and you get Ex and SP, plus no damage and if you counterattack quickly you'll do extra damage. Game-breaking stuff, you'll have to agree.
Also, while it's nowhere near as bad as Trails in the Sky, there's an invisible deadline for about half the Quests that triggers once you hit a certain point in the story. If you want to finish everything, complete the quests as soon as you're able to just to be safe. That's about it for things to know (assuming I'm not too late) but if you've got any other questions ask away.

Oh my god, I forgot Origins was translated. Thanks now I know little bit what to do before the quests start.
