I think the Ys series should be represented on the iOS platform. Either by an emulator front-end (( There's already a TG-16 official emulator on iOS )) or by a remake/revamp (( Example : Ys Chronicles 1+2 on iOS? Touch controls? Or just using a d-pad? )). I'd buy it. Falcom could charge say, 2.99-4.99 for Book I, same for Book II, and if they ported the higher-res games, pull a Square Enix and just charge the same as on steam, 14.99.

They don't have any mobile experience of their own but they might be able to do something with Aeria; Sorcerian seems to have turned out fairly well and they've got some Kiseki-related project in the works as well. I'm kind of ambivalent on a touch-based Ys game after the mess that was the DS port and the touchscreen-only classic gameplay but having a touch D-pad could probably work if it was done well. By the way, TG-16 emulator? That sounds sweet but I assume it requires jailbreaking? Edit: Never mind, I think I found what you're talking about. Doesn't have Ys from what I can tell so it's not a perfect app yet.

Yeah, it's an official app. IAPFree works with it though I think. :
