I did a quick readthrough the bug/glitch threads and didn't find a thread that solved this problem, but here goes:
I'm running Ys Complete with the 1.27 patch on Windows 7, disabled 3D acceleration, opened up the resolution window in the control panel to reset the colors, and have been having a great time playing the game, but I've hit a wall in Ys Book I.
For some reason none of the sprites change their face when they change direction. In other words, if Adol leaves a house facing South, his sprite continues to face South for the entirety of the next screen no matter which direction he's moving. The same goes for all of the sprites. They move normally, but their sprite face is locked.
This hasn't been a problem actually playing the game until the Nytilger boss fight. Nytilger is always facing me and completely straight no matter how fast I move. He won't move in a circle, he just follows me staying completely erect. This means I can't his anything other than his head, which means I can't damage him, which means I can't progress.
Is there any way to remedy this situation? Has anyone else run into this problem?
e: I see another thread that asks this question but it seems the problem resolved by itself. What do I do?

The sprite facing problem is because you disabled 3D acceleration. Re-enable it.
The Nytilger problem is solved by forcing VSync through your graphics card settings (NVIDIA Control Panel, ATI Catalyst, etc.). And it doesn't affect Nytilger only, if you try to obtain the Talwar by talking to Slaghf, he and Adol will walk in INCREDIBLE SLOW MOTION and the door of the warehouse will close before Adol gets in and he'll walk towards the door without being able to open it infinitely forcing you to close the game. It also causes you to recover health instantly when standing still (something good), all of this is because your game is running at 700+ FPS.

Thank you!
When I was first trying to get the game to run the intro video would glitch and the colors would be inverted and I figured it had something to do with the 3D acceleration because I had that issue with other older games in Windows 7. I got through Nytilger no problem and got the Talwar without any hiccups.
