Does anyone know anything about the sealed door in the room before the last boss? Is there anyway to open it?

Nope. It's the door to the women's restroom, perhaps the only one in Ys. Japanese games are really big on not letting you into the women's restroom if you're playing a male character.

xD Does anyone know anything about the sealed door in the room before the last boss? Is there anyway to open it? It's the door that links that place with the mines in Ys I. You are stepping on the ground you fought the bat boss, Vagullion. Ys was lowered back to the surface, and thus joined with that area. The other side can't be opened now, if I recall correctly, because it's full of boulders. It actually can be opened, but solely in the Sega Saturn version, in which case, upon entering, all you see is nothing but boulders. And some water. The path is blocked off.

You can actually see past the door in the Turbo Duo version, from what I can remember. It was just a long path with the a dead end.

I never managed that in that version. The corridor you speak of reminds me of that version's path between Goban's hideout and Darm tower, though.

You can shoot fireballs at them for a cool effect but thats about it. Are there any meanings to those or are they just decoration?

They're just decoration, as far as I know. When first entering the Ice Ridge of Noltia, you do see Dalles using one as a scrying glass of sorts to keep tabs on Adol's progress, so there is that.

Well, one can always fanboy/fangirl on it by speculating it's made of some Emelas material or something, I guess. I dunno.

Not a far-out guess. The Black Pearl was the source of Ys' prosperity and we know it was Emelas. It's not impossible that Feena and Reah brought more of the stuff when they founded the city-state (such as the Mask of Eyes, another Emelas artifact according to Perfect Data). We'll see if YsC gives us more on the origin of Ys or if they drop that angle and have the Goddesses come straight from the Atlas Continent.

Yes, it's the room after you defeat Vagullion in the mines in Ys II. It would make sense that the resting place of the black Pearl is connected to where they mined Cleria in the mine.
The rooms are identical. In Ys I, if you walk into it, the pillars that the goddesses stand on are there (and are the same color as before you release them IIRC.
