finally, a new valkyrie profile game is coming out and it looks good,
but, lets hope that the gameplay is just as great as the first one. because we all know what happened when Xenosaga came out and dishonored the great battle system and gameplay of Xenogears.
I hope this Valkyrie Profile Silmeria game will great like its predecessor.
Any comments or enlightenment I welcome...

Never thought of Xenogear's battle system as being all that great. Interesting, but far from "omg awesome". Really wish I hadn't missed the first Valkyrie title. Have some of the music, which is pretty nice. Hate not having money when new games come out, always cost an arm and a leg on ebay later

Yeah, after listening to the Valkyrie Profile soundtrack countless times, and I mean countless times, I went to ebay thinking I could just snag up a copy real quick. Boy was I dead wrong! It looks like it's in the same leauge as Star Ocean 2 and Suikoden 2. Can't get it cheaper than a hundred dollars it seems.

I picked up VP quite recently and played it through. For me it was worth every penny I spent as it's certainly the best 'traditional' RPG I've played since Vagrant Story came out (it's just taken me this long to get round to buying it). It rapidly became one of my all-time favourites in fact.
There are plenty of things to love about it, not least the excellent combat system. I found myself actually looking forward to the fights! After I'd defeated the boss in a level I'd scour the entire area to see if I'd missed any other monsters (there are no random encounters and once you dispatch an enemy they stay gone until you leave).
The music is phenomenal and the design of the whole thing really appealed to me. I love anything kind of medievil, like VS or FF Tactics. Even the voice acting is superb.
So yeah, really impressive game and makes me very excited for the sequel, which does look to be carrying on the same gameplay style.
Not found out who's doing the music yet though...

If they have any sense at all it will be Mr. Notoi Sakuraba as composer.

Definitely excited about VP2. Great style, shame it's losing the 2d sprites, but I'll more than be able to handle it if Motoi Sakuraba is returning for the score (jeez, who else is there for Tri-Ace?).
Please, find better voice actors if it is coming over the seas.
(or, as more sensible people say: overseas)
