Last year, I had to replace my hard drive on my computer, so I had to restore my music collection from scratch. So I decided that if I was going to be doing that, I might as well take this opportunity to fix all the name/album/track listing discrepancies I had. As well as remove duplicates (backing up and adding to newer computers over the last 15 years has caused many).
After a year of whittling it down little by little, I finally decided to jump ahead, and do my Falcom collection. because I wanted my Ys music. I have almost 95% of the albums that I'm aware of (a couple Falcom Special Boxes are incomplete, and I'm missing one or two rare albums)
It took me weeks of working on it to condense them to the right albums and get the in order and add cover art.
And I have had this same exact question for years. Ever since I played Ys III back in '91 or whenever. I ripped them too when ripping software became the norm.
I know the opening song during the narration about Genos and Galbalad is a variation of the Ys Book I and II intro, which I believe in listed as Ancient Ys Vanished/Feena on Book I and II. And on later remakes, they're split, and the Ancient Ys Vanished opening part is just called "Opening" or intro I believe. But the part with Alan Oppenheimer's narration is just a really bad ass version of Feena.
As for Ys III, I think when I ripped it back in the '90s, CDDB listed it as Opening Narration is the one with the narration, unless I changed the name of it at some point.
The one I want to know is the one during the intro animation with Adol and Dogi at sea.
I have wanted to know the name of this song for almost 25 years. I want to hear the variations. But I don't know what it is. I have listened to the 8 disc Oath in Feklghana Collection, Ys III Perfect Collection, the Special Boxes sets, as well as the Special Arrange and X68000 original versions.
I have even considered writing Falcom and the composers.
