I recently got the PS2 version from Gamefly. I heard about the in-game cheats you can do to replace the CGI cutscenes with the animated ones from the PC version as well as the OP with the awesome song. So, I did the cheat. However, when I saved my game, the text was red and my play time was at 16 hours. Why is this?

Red text indicates the use of cheats. That's all that is.

Ah, so it's not anything to worry about. But then why is my playtime at 16 hours?

If I remember right, Ys VI doesn't record your actual amount of play time. However, it does keep track of your system time, which is probably what you're seeing instead.

Do you mean how long I've been playing by the time I did the cheat (I played a little bit before I knew about the code. I got past the Geis fight) or just the current time?

In other words, you saved at 4 PM (16 hours on a 24 hour clock).

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Thanks for your help!
