I think the platform is going to be Vita. PS4 seems unlikely as they are probably busy learning how to develop a game on it with new Ys game at the moment and even PS3 may take too much time. I am guessing either Vita exclusive or PS3 and Vita.
I have absolutely no idea what this game is going to be like, but,
1) It's Falcom. Guaranteed to be good (no bias ) 2) It's Falcom 3) Sweet lawd, Kondo has blessed us again.
I wonder if this is the new IP Falcom was talking about. It has to be. I doubt Falcom would be working on more than 3 different properties at once. Which leads me to believe it's Xanadu in name only. Also I wonder what platform it might be on. Chances are it's on either PS4 or Vita. I hope it's on both like the new Ys. Either way I'll be importing this one day one. With EMS. Spare no expense!
Well color me Hyped. : ) It's Revival Revival Revival Xanadu!
Without much more information to go on, my initial thoughts are that Falcom intends to use the Xanadu series as a means of making a game similar in thematic approach to Persona / Shin Megami Tensei. And why not? It could totally work. It's worked twice before with Xanadu Next (being a return to the labyrinth of Xanadu) and Ys vs Sora no Kiseki (also being a return to labyrinth of Xanadu more or less as a venue or reason to summoning series cross-over characters battle each other).
Xanadu in this case appears once again as a labyrinth that needs some serious exploring after not seeing much action in years, only this time to a group of modern day students to explore. If Falcom does this right, they might actually have a new, new IP based around the mythos of their old IP.
Hope it comes on Vita at least. : )

Nice! I'm quite excited about this one. I was able to find this too:
I was trying to find a good sized image of the main character for reasons...
Also, is this a new Legend of Heroes game （暁の軌跡） Akatsuki no Kiseki (Dawn no Kiseki?) that is tied in with Sora no Kiseki? First I've seen this logo before. It seems to have Scherazard Harvey and Agate Crosner in it.
Edit: Edited the link since the original images did not support hotlinking and corrected the Japanese text.

It's definitely listed on the site as an Action RPG and there is a place to show a video at a future date. I want to see if I can download this exclusive vita theme, but not sure how to go about doing that just yet. I do have Japanese PSN account that I can easily access on PS3, but not sure if I can transfer that download (if it's on the PS3 store) to the Vita.
Edit:There are some nice game screenshots scanned in from a Dengeki PlayStation magazine as well in case anyone is interested. Looks fun! I'll definitely be importing this.

I'm pretty sure you can't get Vita themes on a PS3 via the JP store. And even if you could, the account on your Vita would still need to be your JP one in order to use the theme.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing if my guesses on the HUD are correct.
Falcom games cleared: Ys I & II Chronicles, Ys: The Oath In Felghana (PSP), Ys: Memories of Celceta, Ys VI: The Ark Of Napishtim (PC), Ys Seven, Ys Origin, Trails In The Sky FC (PSP, PC), Sora no Kiseki SC (PSP), Sora no Kiseki the 3rd (PSP), Zero no Kiseki Evolution, Ao no Kiseki Evolution, Sen no Kiseki (PS3), Sen no Kiseki II (PS3, Vita)
Still playing: Popful Mail (PC Engine CD, Sega CD)
Waiting on: Trails In The Sky SC (PC), Ys V remake, Ys VIII/Eight
Thanks for the reply. I was able to get the Tokyo Xanadu theme by switching over on the Vita to my Japanese PSN account and downloading it there easily enough, but I believe it's pretty much locked to that PSN account regardless and cannot be transferred over. I don't think any themes can be technically "transfered" over either in general, not like how we used to be able to do it on a PSP anyway. Best chance of us getting some neat Falcom related themes would be simple to make our own using images and setting those to wallpapers, which I might do sometime if I get bored.

Well, according to the interview with Falcom president Mr. Kondo in 電撃PlayStation, the whole story may not end with this one game. So we are possibly looking at the beginning of another series. I wish the scenario doesn't get drawn out and end in "to be continued..." tone like the Kiseki games do at times since having to deal with that in the Kiseki series is more than enough.
