I bought a key for Ys Seven from Joyoland a couple years ago but stopped playing it partway when my laptop crashed, and never got around to finishing or even deactivating the key. So I recently decided to play the Ys series in order except for MoC since I no longer have my Vita (speaking of which, I heard Joyoland is doing a PC port), and just finished VI, and remembered to my dismay that my Ys Seven key won't work now on this PC. I checked SkyeWelse's Ys Seven page to see if it had been updated ( this one) with any news, but there isn't anything on how to deactivate the key unless you have the old computer. I can't find anything helpful on Joyoland's website, either, the English and Customer Service links don't work when I click on them (I've tried three different browsers). What do I do?

Hey GuyInDogSuit, I'll send you a private message regarding this with more details, but yeah if you don't have the original computer to deactivate the DRM, you will not be able to reuse that key for sure.

To add on to this. I lost one of my keys to the windows 8.1 update. Still the same computer still essentially the same OS but it was just different enough for securom to say F*** You! The other key I had which had been activated and deactivated to test no longer works either for some unknown reason.
Bottom line. I do not recommend anyone buy keys from joyoland. This is truly an example of why DRM is bad.

I'm thankful that this is one of the few games I own that has DRM. Most of my games are on Steam, but I don't see that being a problem unless Valve just happens to go bankrupt and their service dies. Someone will come along and crack it anyway.
