No that's not true at all.
(Nintendo recently crushed a whole lot of pirate Famicom units.)

HAHAHA!!!
I actually saw one of those Famicom systems being sold at a Mall a long time ago.
Always had a feeling something just wasn't right.

I saw one of those at my mall a month or so ago. I had fun playing macross and wedding bells for Lum (The Urusei Yatsura game), but I wasn't about to buy it...I don't trust most of the mall vendors.

Those links were funny. What a pile of garbage! lol But I can see how people might get fooled by the box if they were careless enough and didn't know much about the systems a.k.a. parents picking up a handheld for their children.
"Merry Christmas son! We got you a PSP!" Son: "Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!" .....
"What... the hell?"
lol
And as for the Famicom bootlegs, I remember the Game Axe. I wanted one of those so bad, but never bothered ordering one from Lik Sang.
Thanks for posting the links. Nice find!

Game Axe is pretty cool, but I prefer the GTA (Game Theory Admiral). A portable Famicom clone in the shape of a GBA. It's funny..The "company" behind it is called "Mystery." Not suspicious at all. Nooo.

aren't those all chinese bootleg? i see them ALL here... there's the "sega" (the the real one of the similar style), the "n64" and i believe they had an older "nintendo" that plugs directly into the tv for abotu 10 games.
i stand there and think gosh, it looks ridiculous but someone will buy it... lol
