Here you can discuss your favorite RPG dungeons. Mine has to be the massively huge 31 floor tower at the end of Legend of Xanadu. I had such a great time playing through this one. There are awesome puzzles and traps around every corner. What a way to end a game. Here is a scan of the dungeon.

Any dungeon in Brandish is fine. At least dungeon 21+ (the first twenty floors aren't very interesting).

Oh I almost forgot! I LOVE the caves in the jungle in Radiata Stories, and the Algandars Castle in the same game rules too. Man, Radiata Stories is basically the perfect game.

Wyrdwad has good taste in dungeons. The Labyrinth of Amala, in particular, was tasty.
If I had to pick a favorite at the moment, it would be the final (and highly spoilery) dungeon of Xenosaga II. Suffice it to say that place had all sorts of atmosphere.

Solomon Shrine in Ys 2, pretty much all the dungeons in Legend of Xanadu 2 & YsF, most if not all the ones in Dungeon Explorer 2, various Secret of Mana dungeons, if I think of more, I'll add them.

Probably something out of the first Dungeon Explorer, I loved the look and feel of that game so much that when I would get a game over I would just let the screen sit there for several minutes so I could stare at the all the creatures swarming, heehee. The final dungeon in the original Zelda's second quest was great because it was nearly impossible but still a lot of fun. Pretty much all Zelda dungeons are amazing though. Tomb Raider - The Cistern, does that count? I used to try to swandive all the way to the bottom, haha. Final Fantasy - The Tower of Fanatics probably doesn't count either but hey, you know it's great. So frustrating but so much fun. Also the Phoenix Cave always gives me sad/great memories because I fell in love with Locke's character so much. Cosmic Fantasy 2 - that one dungeon with all the transporter sign thingies, that one was fun. Also the "come back in 20 years" part, haha. Man what a tragic game.

Another cool one, to my mind, is the Emperor's Palace in Breath of Fire IV. Why? Because it's architecturally sound. People could live in it. It looked like a palace. And it was creepy =D

Hyrule Castle in Zelda: A Link to the Past. Not any puzzles in there, but I absolutely LOVE THAT MUSIC. It's always a blast to play through it.

The Hydra, Skies of Arcadia. Running around in that bad boy is just amusing; especially given what is going on outside =D

In the original Wild Arms, there was a dungeon where your team got split up and you had to do different things to get everyone through and back together. It was a cave-like dungeon but I have no idea what it was called. That was one of my favorites.
Also, Tower of Darm will forever stick out as one of the coolest dunegones.
I also liked the Ruins of Amnesia in Ys VI a lot. Great backgrounds and artwork and awesome music.

I love all the dark cave dungeons in the Ys games where your visibility is next to nothing especially Ys II.

I love all the dark cave dungeons in the Ys games where your visibility is next to nothing especially Ys II. That's some good dungeon crawling. I just remembered another one of my favorites: Klein's dream in Alundra. That game had some of the most difficult puzzles ever! I specifically recall spending almost three hours in that place.

I think I remember that dungeon, but it's been ages since I've played it, & I haven't had a chance to play Alter Code F yet......though that's next on my list after beating Suikoden 5.

Alter code F is a great remake. Wild arms 2 was also damn good. I just love that you can stop battles from happening (to an extent). sometimes you just dont want to deal with battles. I was all excited about wild arms 4, and it was bad.... ohhhh so bad.....

Wild Arms 4 is bad? I played thru a bunch of the begining, up to a point where SPOILER SPACE I think they had to evacuate the town, & the kid found the gun......something like that. After the first "dungeon" I guess you could say. END SPOILER SPACE it was back when it was released, & I got sidetracked by other titles, mainly since I'm trying to play catch up. I really liked what I had played so far. I don't know how it could get bad, but, I suppose anything is possible, since I haven't played much of the game. Then again, Suikoden 4 gets really ripped on, & I loved it, & even more so, since I picked up the soundtrack, it reminded me how much I enjoyed it, so, I guess I'm a little different from everyone else at times. As for Alter Code F, the field theme gives me goosebumps!! I love it! And I'm hoping that someone releases Wild Arms 5 here, though, I haven't heard much about it.
