Hmm, I expected more hype on this forum for odd reasons. Almost all Final Fantasy games have garnered a huge following. I'll have to look into the original Final Fantasy III as I don't know a clue about it.

In order to connect to the Internet with your DS you'll need either a wireless NIC, a wi-fi dongle or a wireless router. Either of these will work just fine.

It'll need some configuration, but yes -- it'll work. You're going to have to get a DS with a wi-fi-compatible game before you can start "configuring" though. Instructions can be found at www.nintendo.com.

Looks like they're also going to release a DS+FF3 package Pity I just got a Lite or I'd consider pre-ordering one.

There is good news, and it's something I wondered about. There will be an OST release for this game, set to come out on 9/20. CD JapanIf you ask me, it's one of the best of the old FF scores by Uematsu. Apparently some new tracks from Nobuo will be added, as well as some new arranged versions.

FF 2 did have awesome music, especially in the Tower of Mysidia! I love that! It wasn't as good in the recent remake. The Boss music is probably my favorite in FF 3. Can't wait to hear the new version.

There is a Mysidian Tower in the PS1 FF2, which is the one I played, due to the language barrier. The name of the awesome song is Sorcerer's Tower on the NES "All sounds of FF1&2" CD. I can't recall if there was an actual town called Mysidia like in FF4, but at certain parts in the game, when you check your location, it says Mysidia. Maybe the Mysidia was only added to the remade verison, I'm not sure. The song in the NES FF2 is MUCH better! Here is a screenshot:

I think I have to get FF Dawn of Souls soon. That looks awesome. I also remember playing (and loving) FF2 on Famicom.

I just got the soundtrack to this today, and IT RULES! First, the arrangement is by Tsuyoshi Sekito and Keiji Kawamori, two members of the Black Mages. There's no playing around with Uematsu's compositions, and all the original music is here and intact. None of the melodies are overshadowed by a bunch of special effects, and the sound quality is superb! There is a rich orchestral feel to the music. This sounds even better than the BGM in the Wonderswan/PS1 FF I & II, which Sekito also worked on. It's exactly what I hoped for as far as music goes for this remake.
I can't wait for this now, it's going to be an awesome game. Just like FF IX, we will get another chance to visit old school FF.

Well I'm deffinitly gettting this sometime down the road. Right now, it's tempting, but, coming out in the next couple of months, that I'm going to buy is Scurge Hive(DS version), Children of Mana(already paid off), Sega Genesis Collection, Yoshi's Island 2, Capcom Classics 2(PS2), & Castlevania PoR. And that's considering I have a terrible backlog of games that I need to beat
