So I've played both of them. I know the SNES version of Valis IV has a terrible translation, no anime cutscenes, no voice acting, and no additional playable characters, but I love the soundtrack in that one much more.
The other Valis games have amazing soundtracks, but I thought Valis IV for PCE was lacking something as far as music goes. The SNES Valis IV music really inspires me though. Anyway, this poll is more about the music. As far as gameplay/varitey goes, I still think the PCE Valis IV stomps the SNES one. It's amazing that both games have completely different soundtracks. What do you think?

I voted for the SNES version since it was the only one of the two I ever got to end boss... and then horribly yet promptly slaughtered many times. I never was able to figure out a method of doing damage to him. My memories of Super Valis IV aren't that fond because of that. lol
I do remember the soundtrack being pretty fun though.

The SNES one never stuck out in my mind, but, even though I don't think that the PCE one is fantastic, atleast, I can remember some of the songs, so, guess what I picked!

I have never played the SNES version so I have too say the PC engine since I really digged the music in that game.

I have yet to play either but have played I, II, and III on the Genesis and Turbo Grafx. I find IV to be the most less inspired soundtrack compared to the previous games.
