Well, Dynastic Hero is the rarest Turbo CD (US released) game.
What firmware are you running? PCEp doesn't run for me. I running 3.10OE-A (I think) and PCEp 0.70 starts but never makes it past a blank screen, though I can still hit X to return to the PSP's OS.

Ah.. well everything I've tried on 3.10OE-A works except PCEp.
HuE and e[mulator] both run PC-Engine games at a 100%, constant 60 fps rate. It's nice. The sound is a little better in e[mulator] (though it's only noticeable on some games) and there might be other slight improvements but that one won't even load CD games for some reason, so I've got both loaded on the memory stick. Really the only issue I have is that it seems VERY picky on lading US ROMs and the lack of music playback for CD games.

I don't know, I think Beyond Shadowgate is up there as one of the rarest as well, not sure which of the last games(Bonk 3 as well) is truly the rarest. BTW, since Popful Mail, is a SCD/ACD game, it should technically run fine, since it will run with the Super System Card. Frankly, I don't recall what the real differenece was, when booting the game up with an ACD.

Try using a program called Ice Tea to convert it to a PSP format. You'll need something else to rip your CDs to a .BIN or .ISO first.

Okay, I got PCEp 0.70 to work.. I finally figured out that when in 1.50 mode, the brightness settings are reorganized from the custom 3.10 OE, not to mention it doesn't even have the fourth setting (which is what I use and why it went blank when I booted 1.50 homebrew). Interestingly enough, this one loads Popful Mail but it still won't load Madou Monogatari. But, in comparison to HuE and e[mulator], PCEp performs VERY poorly. But at least it runs CD music fairly fine (minus frame stuttering). I've read that e[mulator] 0.82 was SUPPOSED to run awesome (it screws up really bad for me, it plays 100% but then locks up or end up playing no music or the wrong track, it's wacky). Since Duece mentioned something about 3.10 ruining some homebrew, I've got a 1.50 PSP I'm going to try it out on tonight.. if it runs smoothly there I'm just going to downgrade myself to 3.03 OE.

FFX-3 will be eighties themed, and star Wakka, with a side character named Ecstasy.

I would actually buy that too. It sounds like it would be a blast to play Wakka. All kidding aside, FFX-2 was actually a lot better then X in every way,(and yes that means the plot/characters as well) it also had a fun and familiar battle system which made the game more pleasant to play. To tell the truth I found that I liked playing it better then a few of their later installments to the series, like VII, and IX.

You mean earlier installments, I hope?
I dunno if X-2 was better than those two, but it was certainly better that X.

I mean the ones that came after VI, except VIII. I still like how VIII did the battle system, but it did need some fine tuning.

mmmm for me FF VII was the game that introduced me into the rpg world... such a glorius game... FFVIII was OK, there was so much hype around the game that when it launched i was kinda dissapointed... FFIX that was kinda funny, still i feel it lacked something... FFX ermm... it´s a game to play once and then throw it away... i stil haven´t played the rest but i will... someday...
anyway i´m just happy that there are a lot of rpg´s being translated, it helps the community to grow

Not much really going on with my PSP. I recently imported DJ Max Portable 2, but I haven't played it much.
I have applied the newest Dark Alex custom firmware (3.40 OE-A), and finally managed to apply a custom theme to replace the backgrounds, wave effects, icons, and sound effects of the XMB (cross media bar, aka the OS interface). So now my PSP is truly tricked out and delicious.

My personal recommendations would be as follows: - Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure - Tokobot - Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground (next week) - Brave Story: New Traveler (in a month and a half) - Me & My Katamari - Gitaroo Man Lives - (Import) Taiko no Tatsujin Portable 1 & 2 - (Import) Princess Crown Those should be good to start with. -Tom nice! i played the gurumin demo! my gamestop keeps selling out of gurumin tho' XD btw what'cha think of my collection so far

It wasn't the translation that broke Legend of Heroes. But the gameplay. Of course, the translation only added to the horror.
Don't ask me why I bought all 3.
And yeah, Tales games are localized by Namco Hometek. Legend of Heroes by Bandai. Totally separate entities, in this case.
