Hey, I just recently bought a PSP which is an awesome device... I think I even like it more than my PS3 . Anyway, the reason I got it was the many JRPGs and other various genres, but with the overwhelming library of games, I wouldn't know where to start. Just looking for JRPG recommendations, what should I look into, or are there other games similar to Ys? Down the line I'll be getting FF Crisis Core, FF I/II/IV, Persona 2. Cheers, If you haven't already, pick up Persona 1 & 3 Portable. Persona 1 has been fully restored and revamped quite a bit while Persona 3 Portable is built off of P3FES with the overworld maps looking downgraded to Phantasy Star Portable 1 style. Oh and then there's the choice to play as a female protagonist.

Well on that note, I may just as well get Gurumin then I was considering getting P3P, but from owning it on PS2, I don't think I'll replay it again. Not for awhile anyway considering there a tons of jrpgs I'd still like to play.

By the way, lemme tell you that Gurumin's pace isn't as fast as Ys', but more like, say, something between it and Zelda. But I assure you it's great fun. I'm trying to say that, at worst, it might take a little of time to get used to it (like an hour of gameplay or two), but it will get better and better from there on.
