I am an article-linking jerkThis intrigues me quite a bit, that major companies outsource significant projects to these guys (In particular Rocket Slime, which is liquid fun).

If people knew about it, it'd be a pretty lousy secret.

woah, that's extremely interesting. Can't say much on their games since I haven't played any that the article has mentioned nor have I ever seen their names in credits, but it's weird to know that i have been and will continue crediting big publishers for games I like yet have been made by companies like Tose. I have heard some great things about some of the games mentioned though, the ones they've ported as well as the ones they directed. But I wonder, did (for example) Capcom at least have their directors, like Shinji Mikami, work on games like Resident Evil 0? Do they just use Tose for developers that do the dirty work, like programming? (actually, that's worse than "dirty work", heh) Amazing that they all don't care for getting credit for their work, though. If I get in to the game industry, I've actually also thought about using a "pen name" of sorts (probably the one you all already know ).

I haven't read the article, but... What?
They aren't a secret. They do a ton of projects for SE.
They handled the GBA ports of FFIV, FFV, and the up-coming FFVI. They also did the Valkyrie Profile PSP port. And yeah, the Rocket Slime games. Both of them, if I recall correctly.
This has been known forever.

That's pretty odd, I read pretty much the exact same article many months ago in a magazine. Did they... did 1UP steal it? Anyway, they're pretty interesting for sure. I suspect they're responsible for like 75% of all the GBA games out there. And yay, they mentioned Nextech - the best developer in the world.
