It's still a great game. . . but, given the hype, I find the lack of plot extremely disappointing. I feel exactly the same way.. 'cept maybe how great the game is. On it's own, I don't like the game at all outside of the Orbment system and a bit of the strategy in combat, but combined with SC I think it is a necessary evil to get to the much better game. Kinda like season 1 of Gundam 00 to S2 (at least until the tripping balls everyone's naked and in each others' minds part) The plot is there, though... it's just part of someone else's story. Like I said when I first finished the game: Cassius is actually away the entire game trying to find the plot for SC. No really.. when he comes back, he brings the plot with him (albeit too late) and the story starts getting good.. only for the game to end.

Took a little break from SnK (needed to get to a library to see a youtube vid to know which option translated to "they'd crumple the letter"), and started Emirudo Dorango. WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE FANTASTIC GAMES I WAS DENIED AS A CHILD???!!!! Yes, replaying the Final Fantasies and Chrono Trigger was great, and they well deserved it. . . but there are so many great RPGs I was deprived of. (Ironic I'm finding some really great games AFTER I've given up on the world. Guess I sacrificed humans to the God Hand and got games instead. *replays God Hand* *kicked to the moon for stupid puns* )

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Like music/rhythm games? Like Final Fantasy music? Yeah, this game has it.
But what they don't tell you is the best part of the game is the random party quote your selected 4 people spit out before every song. "My friends," "We fight" "vigorously" "for friends!" "You know," "We march" "victorously" "... forget it" "Now," "We dance" "foolishly" "in shame"

Odin Sphere. I love the graphics. LOVE the graphics. Abso-fucking-lutely ADORE the graphics. But the gameplay is another story. I often find myself annoyed and frustrated while playing it, and I find the item rings tedious, as I often find myself throwing away things I'd rather sell, but you have to pick things up then-and-there.
Also, I've read somewhere that the games is like 40 hours long, and for an action game, that's just to much. I think I put like 30 hours into Muramasa, likewise, and for the gameplay I really didn't think it should have been more than 15.

Crud Monkeys. While Sora no Kiseki wasn't what I was hoping for, it still did a good job of drawing me in and alleviating my mood (I blame the graphics and characters). I was worried that after finishing it I would fall back into depression, and while I'm not despairing like before, I am pretty. . . bored (which fits with clinical depression). I'm playing Summoner 2 now, and while it's a very enjoyable game, which I'd undoubtedly love normally--lots of sidquests to keep me busy--it just isn't hooking and distracting me like SnK did. I do love Maia's smarmy attitude though. Nothing beats a smart ass ass-kicking goddess for a protagonist. Wish I could play Skyrim though. Nothing immerses and distracts me like Elder Squirrel games.

Currently playing Doom 3. I was also starting Menzoberranzan (an old-school D&D game, I believe - looks to be similar to Dungeon Hack and Mazes of Fate), but that's on hold - again. Part of it was from getting frustrated trying to figure out how to put out the fires in the very beginning (have to equip the buckets, then "attack" the well to fill them up, then "attack" the fire - very unintuitive, in my opinion). It looks to be an OK game, but for now, my focus is on Doom 3.
Despite my complaints earlier about it being too different from the previous Doom games, for some reason, it's been hard to put down after completing the Alpha Labs, even though the gameplay is still basically the same. I dunno, maybe the setting finally clicked or something (something I wasn't initially fond of). And from what I hear, it's supposed to get better from Delta Labs on out, but I guess I'll soon find out. Anyway, it's definitely a different experience from previous Doom games, but still enjoyable in its own right.

I feel like this thread loses its point when one has a backloggery. Either way, working on KH: Birth By Sleep. Possibly 358/2 Days, Re: Coded and Dream Drop Distance, when I can afford them. Until then, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this one. Totally seeing what Nunuu meant about the ice cream minigame. Having fun grinding to 100. Working on all optional quests as the story is otherwise complete.
Also, wondering why none of the final mix content *ever* makes it to America.

This place doesn't seem very lively as of late.
Anyways, I still haven't finished Xenoblade Chronicles even though I purchased it on its release day few months back. I'm 140+ hours in and I intend on finishing it soon.
I purchased The Last Story last week and I was greatly impressed with the packaging, bookcase and the artwork was definitely a nice touch, nice work Xseed. However, I only played it a little and intend to focus all my effort into it once I'm done with Xenoblade.
That being said, it's unfortunate Pandora's Tower didn't quite make the North American release as it was a game I was very much interested in playing. Maybe in the near future, I'll play it using an emulator of modded console, until then, I'll be cryogenically frozen.
That is my gaming life in a nutshell gentlemen, I haven't been very active in video games lately.
Godspeed!

Borderlands 1 PS3. Man, this game is violent! Some of it is what I consider Tom n Jerry violent. But other stuff, yeesh. I've never played this bloody of an FPS. Wish I could turn that aspect off. The cussing is annoying too, but, there's not as much as other games. Still, it's a fun game, I just try to overlook what I consider flaws(where most people probably consider the best parts of the game). Also playing Aragon's Quest on PSP. Fun game, only thing I don't like, is that the music in most levels, is that same thing over & over again. It's like 30 second clips, that loop(& sometimes make a clicking noise when it loops!). But it's really fun, I just usually keep the sound down.

I've only played about 7hrs of The Last Story and the game has me hooked, hopefully it stays that way until the end. Very good game so far.
Next on the list of games to play: La-Mulana
