Ys VII will probably not be released till Fall of this year, which is good considering all the Ys games coming out. Give us time to catch up playing the remakes.

Wow, I just saw that on their website. Exciting!
Yeah, as I remember, I don't think they mention that Chester died, but I thought that was implied. Who knows though.

It's implied that he died, in that he activated the destruction of the island and (theoretically) did not have time to get out. I hope it's not he. That would be supremely lame. I agree with you there. Chester isn't exactly a character that would be worth bringing back, IMO. Did anybody actually like him at all? Also, how many good guy characters has Falcom killed off in the Ys series? I don't think it's that many (haven't fully beaten Ys IV or Ys V, but I'm willing to guess IF anyone died in those games it would probably be just one person - which in a future Ys game, we find out he/she didn't actually die). If Falcom never really kills any of the good guys, it hurts the suspense. Anyway, I can't wait to see some real screen shots for this game! I hope Falcom will actually break their tradition and make an Ys game longer than the others. I think a 20 hour average paytime would be reasonable.

Going back to Felghana ? Well I finished Ys I and II, III, IV and VI (only V, I didn't). But I cannot remember about that name. Where does this place, take place. ?

Although that banner is only promoting the soundtrack CD, it does contains characters from the two games that they are promoting : Ys 7, and 英雄伝説VI 2nd story. I don't see why else they would put Elena on the banner. It is a new drawing of her (I think). I don't think I've seen it anywhere else.

This new version of Ys really sounds like a good idea story wise. It will be great to play the Ys III land with isometric view! I wonder if the story is gonna take place after Ys III or before it?

Well...
I think there is a reason that Adol would go back to Felghana. Remember Galba-roa? And remember Galbaran? Yeah, since he saw Galbaran in Felghana, I think that would be a reason for Adol to return and investigate the matter.
Right?

To my knowledge, though, I think in Ys 6 "Galbalan" was used to refer to any of the Wandering Calamities.
Even the "Galba Armour" etc. that you wear says it's made from the remains of a Wandering Calamity.
But, if the Goddesses of Ys and Lord Eldeel and Alma and all those others are all members of the Eldeen race, I would guess that Galbalan is a race of demons/monsters, probably as old as the Eldeen are, and probably of the opposite disposition.
Eldeen = Creation Galbalan = Destruction
Also, maybe Eldeen created Galbalan, similar to how the Goddesses of Ys created the demons inadvertantly?
Or who knows, I'm just guessing.

Here's the thing.
Eldeen DID create the Galbalan. They didn't like humans at all, ya know. And they did mention in Ys IV that the Eldeen used humans as food at times too(...hard to imagine).
But according to a friend who was translating the Ys Perfect Data book, the Galbalan were used as mass-produced weapons.
And... from what we're finding out in Ys VI.. *SPOILER*
Ernst's ancestors have been the ones making the Galbalan out of ash emelas, the imperfect combination of black and white emelas. They could NEVER meet with the standards of the Eldeen technology. They tried their hardest to do so. And Galbaran from Ys III was made of the same substance as the one in Ys VI.

So it seems all the Ys games are connecting more. That's cool because Ys III seemed almost totally unrelated to the others (aside from Adol and Dogi being in it). Here's a question: does anyone think the Black Pearl might actually be black emelas, or have some relation to the stuff?

I believe the Black Pearl -IS- made of Black Emelas. I think the only good way to get some nice confirmations is through purchasing the Perfect Ys Data, which goes on about the ash emelas and such... taking the information of Ys I-VI.
I'd purchase it myself, but I'd be rather useless since I don't know Japanese. I get most of the info from a friend who is handling a few parts from the book.

There are absolutely no details on the game available at this time. More will be revealed when the Songs of Zemeth CD is released. When is that going to be released?
