I started listening to one track, then I thought I should wait and be surprised when the game comes out. So, just like I did with Legend of Heroes VI, I'm gonna hold out until I play the game. Based on what everyone else is saying, it's gonna be amazing. Like we didn't all know that already!

Personally, Ys 3 had my favorite soundtrack of all the Ys games. This seems to be the only rendition that's done it justice since the old TG-16 soundtrack.

Darn it. I can't think of anything to describe these beautiful
but short .wav files of previewing pleasure.

It looks like Falcom has finally got it's music production back in high gear! The quality here is MUCH better than Ys VI and all of the other recent Ys titles. I've been waiting a long time for this

Magnificant! These arrangements sound really grand. Lots of orchestra. The Demonicus cave music is badass.

Didn't the Genesis version also call him Demanicus? I don't have that version, but I thought I had heard it had the same wierd translation as the Turbo version.

Demonicus doesnt seem like it took a whole lot of thought to name a baddie but at least it sounds evil.

I think it might've been, but I haven't played that version. I just remember hearing that there was another version that had the exact same mistranslations as the Turbo version. Probably including the "a" instead of "o".

I'm a touch disappointed with A Searing Struggle... it's good, just a little simplistic. Mirror is updated, btw. MP83, Chop!! was a boss fight theme from the X68000 version. Huh, that's interesting. Do you know which boss it was for?

Midbosses. Dularn (the wizard in the mine) Girun (the fire snake in the lava pits) Ligaty (the harpy in the mountains) Faluon (the flail-swinging knight in the castle) Schelfen zum Schtilger (the fire-wolf in the castle) Gilduros (the blue knight guarding the prison in the castle) The X68000 version also used Believe in my Heart instead of Wanderers from Ys for the ending and closing credits. Ahh, so Beasts as Black as Night (I think that's the name of the track I'm thinking of) wasn't in the X68000 version then. I guess they'll probably split them up with 3 of the minibosses having Beasts as Black as Night and the other 3 having Chop. Then again from the looks of things there might be some additional bosses too.

That's great news. Falcom is a fantastic company, and I'll be more than willing to continue to support and promote each and every release of the Ys series they put out for years to come. I've always loomed over their downloads page and snagged every MP3, wallpaper, and video file they make avaliable. Thanks for the heads up on the new tracks.
