I'm new to the importng scene, but I was wondering if any of you have suggestions as to where I could get my hands on copies of Ys Complete and Ys III: Oath. I've googled, but cannot find any online stores that offer these games.
Also, I know there is a patch available to translate Ys Complete. Is one available to translate Ys III: Oath yet? Or is it too early in the game?
Thanks in advance.

For importing - there was a good post on this page by Gillian Seed about how to order this game from Falcom. (You have to email them, basically - send your credit card info. and such - not exactly the greatest way of doing things, but at least they have a method for non-Japanese orders at all): seldane.proboards23.com/index.cgi?board=ysf&action=display&thread=1114540799&page=9Note: You can probably drop the part about the Demo CD and Entry Book, since I don't think they're available anymore. If you want Ys Complete, you'll have to ask for that also: Ys I Complete = Item 856 (DVD), or 833 (CD), 4.800Y Ys II Complete = Item 857 (DVD), or 835 (CD), 4.800Y ( from this page: www.falcom.co.jp/ys12cmp/order.html ) As far as patches go, there isn't one for Ys:The Oath in Felghana. Way too early for that. (And there's a chance that Konami may port it to English yet, so those who may do such a patch may be holding off for that reason too). Hope that helps!

Thanks, that was very helpful. Aside from a translation patch, is there a patch which allows me to play it on my Canadian computer? or should I be using the app that changes my region?

I'm in Canada too. If you're using XP, I'd recommend using AppLocale, available here: www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspxBasically I ran the Setup program (from the DVD) through AppLocale first, and (after finding the right buttons to press to continue the installation) then I had Ys:OiF installed on my machine. Then I used AppLocale to create shortcuts to the "Config" program and the game itself. Now I just double-click on the icon, AppLocale pops up a little dialog box (anyone know how to get rid of that?), press "OK", and the game loads up.
