Yeah, you see Jonah, I'm at bit of a vocab nazi, and spelling isn't grammar. Sorry son, get the fuck out.

HJ: Yeah, but how many people are playing PSIV on an actual SEGA Genesis?! @smithee: whoops, my bad. I meant spelling. ^^' I'm pretty tired from boredom, and when I'm tired, I tend to screw up my vocab a bit.

Aw man, I only wish they had released Generation 1 & 2 outside of Japan. I heard they were going to with a remake of Phantasy Star IV, a Phantasy Star Generation 4 if you will, but they decided not to or some crap. I would've bought it in an instant if they'd actually went through on it...

MegaMan ZX and ZXA are done. ZX was good (not as good as any of the Zero games though), but ZXA kinda sucked.

I never got all the ZXA hate. It was inferior to pretty much every Zero game and ZX, but it was still pretty good.

I thought the bosses weren't up to par. The other Mega Men were fun, but the robots (or Pseudoroids) just weren't as good IMO. That, and the final stage was a massive chore since you had to re-fight every boss except the Mega Men, and the final part of it was terribly frustrating. Damn those regenerative blobs. damn them to hell.

New game, new post. Just finished Sonic 4 (although I didn't get all the Chaos Emeralds). I pretty much loved it. Splash Hill Act 1/2 were kinda dull, but after that it picked up and there were lots of exhilarating speedy moments and some tense platforming too. The stages were also gorgeous. The physics (jumping especially) took some getting used to, but that was the only thing that stuck out to me.

Okay, I am a huge fan of Sonic 3 & Knuckles and consider it one of my favorite games of all time. I'm also a master at that game. Now for Sonic 4: the controls felt tight and awkward first time playing but I got use to it after awhile and actually enjoying the lock on feature. I haven't beat the game yet but I am enjoying it, I have four chaos emaralds so far. Alright things to complain about (I won't bitch as much as some of the hardcore sonic fans) * 15$ seems a little too much for an incomplete game * where is Tails? * only four zones? oh well... other episodes * those damn specials stages really are hard Not a bad game at all so far, it was kind of cool seeing familiar zones being remade.

I was a hardcore Sonic fan and the only complaints I have about Sonic 4 are the physics (it doesn't feel or control like a Sonic game) and that I felt they chose to remake too many old Zones/bosses instead of inventing new ones
I do not miss Tails and I agree $15 for only 4 Zones is a bit high. 5 and I wouldn't even mention the price.. odd how that works. Same with the $15 price point. I'm much more lenient on games at $10 instead of $15

I didn't mind the zones much, but the bosses were kinda lackluster overall. I loved the fourth and final bosses, though. Also, while I agree that it felt quite short, it technically has the same amount of acts as Sonic 3. Of course, Sonic 3 costs almost nothing today, so...

Well if you base it off of number of stages, it has the same as Sonic 3, but Sonic 3 still has more content due to those stages being split up among different Zones with different tile and enemy sets
...and Sonic 3 was rushed with 1/3 of its stages cut and saved for Sonic & Knuckles

Surprised there are other people here who enjoyed the game, feels like 80% of the internet hate the game. Though they're probably just a vocal minority.
I really enjoyed it too. The physics are a bit off (mostly on how you can walk on vertical slopes and how the spinball slows down on slopes instead of speeding up), but I did have a lot of fun with the game. Can rest easy now too, with Episode 1 I ended up watching all the leaked videos but now I know the game's good fun I'll just skip everything that leaks for the second one.
Also I've missed playing as Super Sonic mid-level so much. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~

I haven't gotten all the Chaos Emeralds yet. Those special stages are brutal. And well, it's the Sonic fans, what'd you expect? They're even harder to please than Final Fantasy fans!

I'm not rushing through Sonic 4, just playing it on and off. I will be surprised if I get all those chaos emeralds because I do agree.. brutal
I decided to take a long trip down memory lane and start playing Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Wii becuase I remember that game leaving a lasting impression when I first played years ago. I'm more of a classic gamer:)

Yeah, some of them are just horrible. Retrying helps for running out of time, but nothing really helps protect you against the ! blocks. I ended up making a new save and doing the special stages backwards (got the first emerald on Casino Street 3, second on Lost Labyrinth 3, then the remaining emeralds in reverse order so the hardest one just needed a minute's run through Splash Hill 1 to get). Still, 7 is... painful. 6 is surprisingly not that hard at all because the main obstacle is running out of time, so you can just retry until you get it.
