Battles against the bosses have been upgraded as well, and you can have battles against the bosses appeared in "Ys I" and "Ys II".
Thats from Himeya's YsO Preorder site. Cool cant wait for that!

That is an interesting revelation. It almost seems like fighting the Ys I & II bosses will be an option.

Yes i noticed that it say You CAN have Battles with them. Also maybe it could just be a translation error? I notices they use some bad translation on Himeya i mean look at the discription for Felghana. Either way looks like we get to fight some of the original Ys bosses and that a good thing One thing that concerns me though is as far as we know thiers only 2 difficulty Lvls, Easy and Normal. I hope you will at least be able to unlock a hard mode. Im sure you will be able to though along with time Attack mode.

I would suspect Darm will be in it, I hope so. He made that quote about being "locked up 700 years ago" in the PCE Ys II.

It would be better translated to say that, boss-wise, one could expect to see a few familiar faces, with some new twists. Cool thank for that!

Maybe Darm is the final boss in the game.

Could be, maybe the final battle is what seals him away for a while until our red-haired hero comes along to finish the job? Whether that's the case or not, I wonder how they're going to handle the fact that no matter what you do, you'll leave the job unfinished even by beating the game. I'm sure they'll find some way to keep the ending from being a total downer though.

You would think the Belmont clan are sick and tired of fighting dracula cause that blood sucker just keeps on coming back. It will be interesting how Darm gets sealed away. Too bad the expiration date of the seal is 700 years. Oh well at least many generations live in peace and harmony until our red headed buddy's born.

Well even the Belmonts finally defeated Dracula (Julius Belmont to be precise); it's not as if they were destined to fight for all eternity. Darm is almost certainly in this game; a lot of people will be disappointed if he wasn't.

How can "sealing the evil away" be a bad ending? I mean - he got sealed up real good! The seal lasted for 700 years! Zelda Ocarina of Time ends the same way. Was it a sad ending? No.

Considering the fact that Ys was completely destroyed and the continent had to float for 700 years just to keep Darm at bay, that would not be so "happy" ending. As for bosses, I think Darm, Dulles, and Java will probably appear (if not all seven bosses in Ys II) since they are mentioned in the books of Ys. One of the books of Ys makes reference to the demon leading six monsters. Come to think of it, the boss that appears in the trailer looks similar to the first boss in Ys II. Maybe I am stretching it too far...

It should be an interesting story. Another thing that should be noted is that things might not play out as the legends in the previous games allude to. They are re-tellings of a story that happened seven centuries prior. In this game, you'll be experiencing what actually happened. I can't wait.
I think the boss fights will be great fun.

My guess is that there will be some at the very least. If there is extensive rewriting of the backstory they might need to redo the entire series.

Just wanted to say i really hate Vagullion. He has to be one of the most annoying bosses in the history of video games(in a good way). Once you learn his moves he's fairly easy, but still something about him vexes me. I can wait to beat the snot outta him!

Some of the bosses in Felghana were changed a lot. For some reason, I think if Jenocres is in it, he'll be totally different.

Each boss is sure to have a ton of more attack and defense patterns than the originals.
