Hey MP! I found that Adol & Dogi Pencil drawing I did when we met in '07. The one signed by you, me and FM-77! I totally forgot about that!

GMF, that sounds like an interesting art piece if you'd like to share it sometime. : ) Saw this yesterday. Pretty badass. I'd LOVE to see a Zero version of this. Medieval MegaMan-Thomas

Yeah, he gives off a very Dragon Quest vibe with that armor. I thought I saw more to it (like Protoman or Zero) but that was long ago and I dunno where I saw it...
Random tidbit: Mega Man is blue because that was the color that offered the most shades on the original NES

Hey, no I haven't. Damn Post Office! Let me tell you, someone bought some autographed CD's from me for their composer boyfriend as a Christmas gift, and it looks like they got lost. Their address is so close to mine. I can't believe it! We've filed a lost/stolen package report, but it looks dim for her to receive it now.
I'll post that picture later!

I'd say! That's a pretty expensive software to lose in the mail! Hopefully it arrives this time!

Hmm, playing Ys Eternal on Normal difficulty, and I noticed that Jenocres takes the same amount of hits under-leveled as he does on Complete's Hard/Nightmare (50). I wonder if that means Eternal's Hard is more difficult than Complete's (and Nightmare, since I don't think Eternal has it, but faster enemy movement aside, they're basically the same difficulty)? Interestingly, they do allow you a reasonable chance at level 3 here with the Long Sword, as opposed to 4, likely due to the decreased EXP from enemies (at least early on, dunno about the later ones), as well as no EXP from the Luta sidequest (500 in Complete/Chronicles, I think).
EDIT: Seems that Nygtilger is the same as well (100). I'm not about to confirm Vagullion, but I can compare it to Pictimos under-equipped, as Vagullion on up, the number of hits should be the same under-leveled/under-equipped (128). EDIT 2: I counted 126 for Pictimos, but I could've easily missed a couple. Would make perfect sense with regards to its HP (255/2 = 127.5, and round to 128).
EDIT 3: Seems Eternal doesn't have even a "Hard" difficulty. I wonder why I thought otherwise...?

And holy crap, I just realized how to make Khonsclard a ton easier on higher difficulties (nearly had a flawless under-equipped fight - up to the end, anyhow). I always sorta knew, but had a hard time with the execution. You need to try and move in the direction he's shooting the rocks (clockwise vs. counter-clockwise), but I found it extremely helpful to walk (not run) when doing this, as it's much easier to keep in front of them (running, I rarely seem able to safely reverse directions in time, and run right into a whole bunch of them). I guess this means that the only major obstacle to legit complete a low-level Hard/Nightmare game is Vagullion. I mean, he's always been the main trouble (for me), but I was figuring you'd need a miracle to survive Nightmare Khonsclard under-leveled (Easy, and perhaps Normal, you can just power through).

Your discoveries are always amazing! While it's neat seeing them all as they come out here in the spam topic, I think it would also be pretty cool to see all of your findings neatly documented and organized somewhere a little more accessible.

Perhaps I'll make a topic in the general Ys board, or something. There certainly is a lot of info, especially with regards to glitches, I'd practically need to get it organized into one place (actually, it's what I've done with some stuff for Ys I & II). Just been posting here, since it is more or less spam.

No pressure, and I hope I didn't give the wrong impression; posts of this nature are more than welcome here! With that said, it sounds great, and I'll be looking forward to reading all about it!

Not a problem. I admit I was going a little overboard with the posting lately; there's just been so much discoveries in a short time frame, which is pretty unusual for me. Anyway, here's the topic for anyone interested (I still need to edit in the Ys VI, Oath, and Origin stuff at some point). It's quite a long read (probably will be two or three maxed out posts once the other stuff is posted. For the time being, I'm listing mostly glitches, and not really gameplay quirks (that stuff is usually more suited for a guide, anyway).

I've never seen the Korean version before, but this looks nice. I sold my US PSP version a long time ago (I wasn't too fond of it), so I can't exactly compare the two.

I think you sold it to me or as part of a trade long time ago if I recall correctly. : ) Also, I wasn't really enjoying it much either. I made it pretty far in the game, but I just... eh... I'm sure it's a great game if the translation was just more engaging but the entire experience fell flat. Wasn't Floofy's crew thinking of working on English patches at some point for the Gagharv Trilogy for PC? I'd surely play those! -Thomas

No doubt, I wonder what happened to those! As flat as the current US translations are, for some reason I've always felt that A Tear of Vermilion (in spite of being more atypical) and Cagesong of the Ocean are more engaging and have stronger storylines. // Granted, the current US translations aren't that great to begin with. Should any of those be translated in the future, I'd be willing to give them all another run.

Falcom currently makes more Kiseki than Ys games. XSEED currently translates and publishes more Ys than Kiseki games. The two joined and became Falxseed and transpublished everything.

"Falxseed"? Kinda sounds like "phallic seed" when I say it.
