Ys SEVEN will be released in 2009, but nothing was revelaed about the game itself so far. So, I was wondering about how the game's new heroine would be: her hair, eyes, personality, race, "status" (princess, priestess, hunter etc.) and the like. I was also even wondering if there would be no new heroine, but rather a return of one or more previous heroines. I think we even discussed about the possibility of an Ys Dating Sim once. xD Well, voice your thoughts! ======================= One thing I'm not sure about is the return of previous heroines into the game. It already happened once or twice (in Ys IV there's Lilia, and in Ys VI there's Terra, although I don't know if she should be called an heroine). So it might happen, but I'm not sure about. If it happens though, I think only one of them will be in the game, but I think that a new heroine would also be there. I think there will be a new heroine no matter what. I think her hair will NOT be blonde or blue. It may be of any other color: red, black... I would wild-guess black. Perhaps rather long hair too. I think that maybe she would behave more like Karna, but not be as much of a fighter as her. I think she will be human too. Not a Rehda or a Winged One or anything. xD And I don't know what to guess about her eyes. Something shouts to me that she will have either red or green eyes, I don't know. So, what do you think about it?

I thought Feena and Reah sublimated (not quite the right word, I feel, to describe their fate) themselves at the end of Ys 2. It's quite a shame, really. The question I'd like to see answered is who becomes Adol's wife. To be honest, I think the next heroine depends on where Adol is travelling and where VII fits into the continuity. If VII is right after VI, that would all depend on what Adol and co. discover on their continued journey westward.
Just don't let it be Terra.

Yes, I'm tired of hearing about "the dispicable acts of Terra".

If Adol is going to the Romun Empire and looking at how most Romun people have black hair... yup I'm going with black, long silky hair for our next heroine.
But I do hope the Goddesses make an appearance too, at least to bring in Ys 8.
Ys has to end with the Goddesses.

If Adol is going to the Romun Empire Where'd you hear this?

I'd LOVE to see a black-haired heroine! Of course, I'm still upset that Geis, Ernst, Olha, Chester, and the entire cast of villains and heroes from YsO, aren't playable. There's so many now, that there could be an Ys version of SSB.
I'm surprised nobody's put Ys III Adol (PS2) into Mugen yet!

If Adol is going to the Romun Empire Where'd you hear this? "If". It's a big "if". There's still the "Five Dragons of Altago" story that's not made into a game. Altago is at the tip of the Afroca Continent, which Adol already visited in Ys V. Since Adol is most likely sailing back to the main continent from the Kanaan Island, he'll pass by the sea between Europe and Afroca. Romun is at the north of Europe... so the story of Ys 7 will depend on whether Falcom decides to do the Five Dragon Story or something else. Hmm, seems like Adol heading straight to Altago is a greater possibility, so I guess we'll be seeing more Ys V people coming back..

The question I'd like to see answered is who becomes Adol's wife. Adol isn't the marrying type. He hits it and quits it.

No! He has to marry! Then we'll get Adol Junior in Ys X

I just lost it at your "wild blue boytoy" line. That has to be the funniest shit I've read in a long time!

I'm one million percent sure the heroine's name will end with the letter a or the "a sound." There's our first clue! Seriously though, I am too eager to see what Ys VII is all about. When I saw the thread title I got excited that maybe some information was revealed. Anyway, Ys Origin introduced more playable characters, so maybe the heroine will be playable, perhaps after finishing the game with Adol. If Feena and Reah are in it, they should be playable. I would like to play as Reah a little more than Feena, and she needs to have an assortment of multi-colored cloaks to obtain. That would be awesome.

I was just thinking the other day about how there needs to be a Falcom, or even just an Ys fighting game, a la SSB. Dogi would've course be the favorite, with his special move where he'd reach down, grab ahold of the solid ground somehow, yank up to create a wall of dirt in front of him, then smash through that wall with his shoulder, sending boulders and rocks flying at any opponents on the other side. -Tom Oh god please be careful what you wish for. Last time I checked this idea didn't work for Castlevania, and current previews slate Dishitia: FF as a poor poor game. Great idea, but I would much rather see Ys Pinball, where Adol uses the bump system to rack up some serious points.

Yeah, it depends on who's making the game and whether or not they're ambitious (i.e. throw in a bunch of supposedly innovative controls, attacks, etc. that generally don't go over well with players). :P
Like everything out there, as long as it's done in a decent way, it can turn out well!
Heheheh. Bump system fighting game. XD

An Ys bumpercar mini game would be hella sweet.
Wryd, I am trying to picture a group brawler, and its just not working for me. I don't think it would be any good. If they did like a mini game, or hell something like the new Kirby, but with all Falcom characters, I would be totally happy. Like a Falcom Party game of sorts.

Hm...if anything, I think Feena got the short end of the stick, heh. Sure, she got more story attention in Ys 1 and 2, but beyond that, pretty much nothing. Aside from getting captured/kidnapped, anyway...
Reah actually got to do stuff. Purposely getting captured to give Adol advice and some monocles, reawakening the Roda trees and Feena's memories with the silver harmonica, kills a pack of undead monsters, and between the two of them, was pretty much always the leader. She's also the far more prominent of the two in Origin, so it kinda evens out in terms of spotlight time in a way.

xD It's incredible that while we are being off-topic, we manage to still talk what the topic is about. Parallel-ness. Yeah, an Ys fighting game, and with the current engine, it'd definitely work out. xD And multiplayer Ys games. As for another series that had a fighting game that worked out, and did so VERY well is "Melty Blood". And recently "Fate/Unlimited Codes" which is one of the top 10 most popular fighting games in Japan. I'm one million percent sure the heroine's name will end with the letter a or the "a sound." Man, how come I didn't notice THAT before! Now that you mention it, this is really scary. Although I recall such a thing being mentioned around here once some time ago... Oh yes, also in that Ys Perfect Data Book it was said something about Adol either getting married, getting a child or both when he was about 23 or 24 years old or something. Though that doesn't necessarily mean he settles down, as he continues his travels indefinitely. Anyway, someone gets Adol. xD

... BY FORCE. -Tom Could Yakra draw this? XD Sorry, I couldn't resist... Though I don't really mean it. xD (I can picture it in my mind though... heh. *random girl pushing Adol against a wall for HER to take his measures*)

Does anyone recall what is the time span between each games so far? All I know is the order
** Spoilers **
Ys Origin V V Few hundred years V Ys I & II V V V Ys IV V V V Ys III/Felghana V V V Ys V V V V Ys VI/Ark
I recall that Raba (in YsVI) said it's been 7 sevens since Adol and him met in Darm Tower which means that the gap between Ys I/II and Ys VI is seven years, but I haven't played Ys V so can someone fill me in on the span between each game?
