This is still my favourite version. Full of FABULOUS French accordion. Love it.

Actually, me favourite version is from the first~ X'D But Josephine's version is just oh-so-painful, that it deserved the full glory of showing off-ness. Anyways, I (re)discovered another track full of extreme cheeeeeese, while going through the .hack soundtracks yesterday! :'D Piros! <3

I like this one better, though.

I like that one better too actually! But when I finally listened through the other one fully last night, I realized that one is funnier. X'D

Goofiness! :D
'Course, it's actually goofier in the promo video(s) of the network mode with all the little heroes running around. ^^;

MORE CHEESE: It's the vocal version of Termination~!
Actually, I don't loathe it as much as I used to. I still hate Whispers of the Goddesses though.
Memorial Sounds was a weird potpourri of Ys tracks, I tell you.

I, uh... actually didn't like that very much at all! The idea of a vocal version of Termination sounded pretty cool to me, but in practice... ... yeeeeeeah... not feelin' it! (: Be like me and not listen to the thing for 3 years. You might SUDDENLY discover it's not as horrid as you once thought it was! X___x The version of First Step Towards Wars (or Towerds as it's written on the back cover) on Memorial Sounds actually sort of qualifies for cheese. I have no idea what the hell happened to the arrangement toward the end. I think they seriously took all the crappiest Ys tracks and shoved them all on that collection. >:(

Romancia Kingdom from Sorcerian? That's the only track that IMMEDIATELY came to mind reading the title of this thread. I mean, I love it and everything ... Oh and the opening of Puck Village on '08! Glitter! EW!

I also LOVE this. My fave from a great album - spoilt by Go Fight! HA! Person who uploaded this seemingly didn't find the silence at the end strange.

Most FF tracks mentioned, and many more, can be called super-cheesy. The entire soundtrack from Dragon Age: Origins also qualifies.
Also, I just realized how cheesy the Last Remnant opening track (First Awakening) is.

Also, I just realized how cheesy the Last Remnant opening track (First Awakening) is. Noooo. That's not cheese~! It's just ... so unnecessarily dramatic! That's all.

So much good cheese in this thread. I apparently still remember all the lyrics to Sonic Boom from when I was a kid hearing CD audio with FMV cutscenes for the first time and it BLEW MY MIND. PSPo2 OP is preety cheese Rule of thumb: All OPs from PSO/PSU are pure cheese. PSZ (JP) used Japanese vocals so it's more animu than Cheese, and PSO ep.3 (the card game) used a boy soprano for the vocals. Also wow that's the first time I've seen someone use the acronym PSPo other than me and outside Japanese sites.

Ta-da, more. Growlanser opening(s)! Criteria for Cheese: - Formulaic 90s anime cast-splash opening sequence.
- Engrish lyrics about squishy crap like love.
- Over-exaggerated singing laden with excessive vibrato and bombast.
And you even get a two for one deal, as there's a male and female version!
