Here's some primitive ones from GameSpot: www.gamespot.com/ngage/rpg/xanadunext/screenindex.htmlAnd these are ABSOLUTELY TINY but they're apparently shrunken-down screenshots of Xanadu Next. No idea if they're genuine though: I know it looks almost isometric, but one of the shots shows it more clearly in 3D. I know it's 3D because there was a promotional film from E3 which had a brief 3D clip of Xanadu Next.

Maybe the game uses two perspectives, just like the original. When you enter a castle, it might switch to a full 3D view.

I've confirmed those tiny shots are genuine, they came from an official n-gage newsletter. I guess they want to tease people before they unveil the game properly (they'd better hurry up, there's only a few months before the release!).
I think you're right jslithy, although looking at the screens again I think they're both full 3D (the angles are wrong on the small screens for them to be isometric).
The camera probably zooms in when the characters go inside and zooms out when they're out of doors, which should work quite well.

I am really looking forward to tis game. I just need to buy an N-Gage QD first, which I'll gladly do! This game seems a lot better than I originally thought.

I am really looking forward to tis game. I just need to buy an N-Gage QD first, which I'll gladly do! Depending on where you are, you can probably get it free if you take out a contract with a phone company at the same time. It's worth looking around both games shops and phone shops, their prices vary A LOT even on the non-contract phones. Yeah, I've got to admit I didn't really know the Xanadu series as it's never made it outside Japan before and it didn't really register when I saw it announced. Once I found out its pedigree though I knew I'd definitely get it. N-gage seem to be getting quite smart about rescuing good games from obscurity and getting themselves decent titles at the same time. They did exactly the same thing with Sega's Pocket Kingdom and Palladium's Rifts rpg. At the beginning they tried to just buy big names but now they're starting with slightly smaller names and even their own completely new series and building them up, which makes me respect them a lot more. I assume you've played the Japanese Xanadu games? What game series would you compare it to in gameplay terms?
