I've only played Ys I Complete and Popful Mail, but so far I can tell I like the vision this company has. I've heard from Vic Ireland of the great Working Designs that the older Falcom stuff is great, but unfortunately I don't know where to start. I downloaded Sorcerian for Genesis last night, but unfortunately it wasn't translated and I can't get past the first couple of menus. Anyway, your input on NF games would be great; thanks a lot and nice to meet you guys.

Xanadu Next for N-Gage rules. Getting an N-Gage just for this game is well worth it. (Note that this is not the same game that will be released for PC in October). YsIII: Wanderers from Ys is a nice game, even available in English. Play the Genesis version. Vantage Master - Fun, but hard action-strategy something-game. Beware of Zwei. It must be the worst game Falcom's ever made. I can't stand it. But that's just me. Others seems to like it.

Depending on your budget
Either get Ys Complete - both I & II
or Ys Oath of Felghana - best $120 I spent
As for Ys Ark of Napishtim, buy it just for those boss battles - some of the best looking ever.
Beside those, don't forget the soundtracks!!!

I say buy (besides the Ys series) the upcoming Xanadu Next for PC, because with it they are including two of my favorite Falcom games, Legend of Xanadu I & II. These games rock, and I think if you decide to get them you might as well get new copies, right? Then you won't risk getting outbid on eBay or getting damaged ones. Also, welcome LEOtaku!

Sorcerian for the PC was translated into English by Sierra a long time ago, and I've seen it available for download on abandonware sites (although I seriously doubt it is really abandonware, so I can't really give out a link). I still have the 3.5" disks for the game and installed it on my computer, but naturally all I get is PC speaker sounds (the same as how I played it many suns and moons ago). Cheesy EGA graphics and all, and STILL have problems beating 'The Dragon King' adventure. I would've at least liked to have Sorcerian Forever in English, but that's asking for a bit much, I guess.

There's also a 3D Sorcerian game for Sega Dreamcast. I don't remember its subtitle, but it's something about a wand ... I think.

Don't buy a ngage. It's a terrible system.

Ha ha ha! No, really. It's a pretty nice system. I've had lots of fun with it. It's also a very good phone.
The only thing I can complain about is the buttons. Playing on it will easily get you a so called "Nintendo thumb".
Other than that, I've got nothing negative to say about it. Use it (five minutes is not enough) before you judge it.
I'd take N-Gage before PSP any day - it has a much stronger game library if you ask me.

It doesn't have all the scenarios from the Master Scenario, and replaces some of them with some originals. I think it's pretty dumb. The remake levels are pretty faithful to the original, but the bosses seemed to have gotten a hardcore major upgrade in the damage department (I got killed by the stinkin' Hydra, which NEVER killed me before. The Red Dragon got me, too). The music is terrible, it's like a direct Midi conversion. It probably is.
