::)After ED6 SC has been released, nothing is planned for PC new game release. Actually, Falcom has announced Gurumin & ED6FC for PSP... Hope Falcom will not stopped PC game production. Do you know a project from Falcom ? That's almost the only one which make great game for PC in Japan for me actually. Hope for Ys 4 Eternal or new Ys by example...

There are rumors about a new Ys game. My guess would be a Mask of the Sun remake but it could be Ys VII as well. We'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't mind a remake of Ys IV if it used the engine that Felghana and Napishtim use.

The 'bump system' outlived its usefulness. MMORPGs are pretty auto-run as is.

The "bump" system worked quite well in Legend of Xanadu I & II and they even allowed your other party members to get in on it. Legend of Xanadu II even had much larger character sprites, about the same height Falcom is using now for Ys.
It would really be interesting to see it work in a new Ys game. Maybe they could go an extra mile and include a classic (bump) mode and a modern mode?

They should try to figure a way to implement the "bump" system into the system they used for Napishtim and Felghana. Like still keep the button mashing system but add a move where you hold down the attack button while running around charging enemies. If you bump into an enemy while doing this, you automatically swing your sword and attack them. They could make it so this method works best if you're a higher level than the enemy. Or maybe have it so your defense is lower while doing this attack.

That reminds me of the glorious "Splat, you're dead!" system from Earthbound. I wholly approve of it.

I can do without the bump system. While it is still indeed fun, I prefer Felghana and Napisthim's battle system.

Since 2007 marks the 20 anniverary of Ys, Falcom has to do something special for the series. Even though Ys I and II has been beaten down like a dead horse with remakes, I wouldnt mind playing I and II with Napishtims engine or and even newer engine not revealed yet.

I would love to see more arranged albums as part of the anniversary, rathen than just a couple "Very Best of" CDs. Also, Legend of Xanadu III wouldn't hurt.
