I wonder if Bandai USA is going to bring this to the US for the PSP?

They must! Why go to the trouble of translating ED III & IV, and not translate ED V? It would be tragic if they didn't, ED V has a gorgeous soundtrack.

Bump.
It wasn't officially announced yet but I'm pretty sure it is coming out in the near future. Want Proof? Why else would esrb.org have a RATING listed for it?
The Legend of Heroesâ„¢ III Song of the Oceanâ„¢ Namco Bandai E10+ Language, Mild Fantasy Violence, Use of Alcohol PSP
Looking forward to another crappy translation! =D

"Song of the Ocean", eh? They've changed the title so that must be official!

I saw an interview with someone from Bandai USA once where they said that they licenced the entire Legend of Heroes Trillogy, later I found out that he referred to the Gagharv Trillogy, when I was browing Falcom PSP sites. and I'm indeed looking forward to ED6 from Falcom, hopefully they do the translation, I know a few good Japanese translators edit: I can only read "Ocean" and "Song/poem" from the kanji, so the translation is not that far of, I think.

you think so, I think a pre-christmas launch would be more likely.

I dunno, a budget title like this is not suited for an X-mas release, and besides - LoH2 got released very recently. I think they'll release LoH3 by the time they released LoH2 next year.

LOH: TOV got released last november, LOH2 somewhere in the middle of the year, so it would be logical to have a november/december release for LOH3

As long as I get to play this game in English, I can wait. I have plenty of RPGs to keep me busy until then.

I'm still trying to decide if I want a PSP or not. I have both Legend of Heroes games and Ys VI. Why did I buy them and not a PSP? Because I know they will probably go out of print eventually and be hard to find. I will be able to play them eventually.
I am currently working in Korea, and they have the white PSPs here, so I am very tempted to pick one up before I leave.

You TOTALLY want a PSP, man! Heheheheh... seriously, though, the PSP is a freakin' amazing device. And contrary to popular opinion, there are a LOT of great games out for it, if you're willing to play in a language other than English. I'm currently playing Brave Story: The New Traveler, in fact, which is a PSP original title, and one of the best non-Falcom RPGs I've played in many, many years. And Gamemusicfreak: Love the new avatar!! I think we totally need a full fanart pic of that. -Tom Wyrdwad: Here's the original full pic of Adol Griffin: i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/gamemusicfreak/peter2.jpgI too have to recommend the PSP. In addition to Legend of the Heroes games, I'm loving Mega Man Powered up. Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch is awesome.

The coolest thing is that most older Falcom titles are now budget releases you can pick up for $5, though sometimes they are bootlegs. I will consider getting a PSP before I leave. I already bought one handheld here, the GP2x, if you know what that is

I recently bought one since I saw a deal on Craigslist.org I couldn't refuse, but get a 2 or 4 gig memory stick. The loading times of most games are absolutely disgusting(the first UMD I popped in my PSP was Ys of course!) The PSP is a nice video player if you dump DVDs to memory stick. The screen is slick and it beats the snot out of my friend's Video iPod. Write to NIS Ameria! They have been listening to fans(look at all the extranious merchendise they've released based on fan votes!) their localizations are quality and if Namco doesn't have the rights to ED6, since it seems to be doing well here, I'm sure they'd go for it.

Have they actually brought any games over just due to fan emails? I think getting merchandise and getting a full game is on a different scale. If I do end up getting a PSP to play ED, I will probably email them requesting ED6 and tell them ED is the reason I bought a PSP. PSP is more popular outside of Japan than in Japan, so hopefully more companies listen when fans have requests.

Yep, the PSP has sold more units in North America than Japan. The DS is so immensely popular in Japan so the PSP isn't getting much attention I guess.

Fringe merchendise can present a potential risk as well, but the whole gig is that they're paying attention to their customer base at a level few other companies are bothering to do.
