Xanadu Anime?

I could encode it in fairly decent quality if I had the original VHS. As far as I know there is only a VHS version and a LD version of this film. So if I can get it cheap enough, I may consider getting it, but that eBay price and the current middleman prices for getting it off of Yahoo Japan just don't seem worth it to me just yet. Maybe that will change when I run out of other Xanadu stuff to collect. : )

I also used to be heavily into anime, even started a few clubs at my old high school and setup tape loaning libraries of anime, but one day I just kind of fell out of it and stopped watching it as regularly as I had. I hadn't picked up an anime show for years until Naruto was released, got into that for awhile, quit, got into Bleach, quit and that's been pretty much all I've seen from newer anime series, though I recently got back into the original Mobile Suit Gundam again.

But anime still has a particularly special place for me and I'd be interested in checking out some new series sometime. My favorite film of all time is still Nausicaa Valley of the Wind and favorite series of all time has been Berserk, Kenshin, Arislan Senki, Lodoss War, El Hazard, and well, the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. Was never a big fan of the newer ones.

I generally quit watching anime after middle school, but sporadically I'll pick up a new series and get into it.

I don't think the series I've watched are for everyone, though. I tend to gravitate toward comedies, often of a romantic nature, though Japan generally does romantic comedy quite well in anime, it seems.

Which reminds me; damnit, I still need to watch Gundam 00. And the Ys anime. :/
