I've seen it on Yahoo Japan many times before. Cheap, yes. Buy it.  There's also a Dragon Slayer VI anime. Also cheap. It was even released on VHS in North America (only two of the episodes though). |

Yeah, it actually uses some of the music, from the Turbo version of DS LOH 1.

I've played the game ( I'm lost in it) and I don't remember anything about mechas, tentacle rape, or any real plot structure in the game, but it would'nt be that bad of a good classic anime to watch (unless it shows the actual sex). Theres also a manga of it that actually looks good and looks more like the game. I found the website a long time ago while looking for a guide of the game, but I can't find it anymore. I'll try to make a link in the near future if anyone is interested. Its translated.

I've thought about getting the Xanadu Anime before on video tape off of Yahoo Auction and ripping it myself so that it has higher quality. I just never did because I wasn't sure it was worth it or not. The anime/manga is so incredibly different from that of the games.
But... if there is interest in subtitling it just for the sake of seeing it in English, I might be game to try and win an auction for it at some point, but it might be awhile.

Thomas: I remember the rape/nudity was a problem when we talked about it -- it's quite apparent to me that it is infact in the Xanadu Anime. If you've since changed your mind, that's really up to you -- but I figured I'd give you a heads up or at least remind you what's there.
It's actually kindof a problem for me. I'd have to be able to encode it and watch it on my PSP -- more privacy that way, lol.

Yeah, that's one of the issues I was having with it too. Having only seen screenshots of the scene in question, I wasn't exactly sure how far it goes, but it was definitely a turn off for me from a Xanadu collector's standpoint. If it is indeed there and graphic, I'm not entirely sure I would want to waste my time with it since even if we were to encode it and have it be translated, I would never want to have it be something that could be downloaded from that Xanadu site we're working on. I would want that site to be as family friendly / work friendly in terms of content.

Well, I'll give it watch sometime and see if it would be worth ordering and encoding it to be in better quality. Though if someone else would like to order it first, be my guest. : ) There's none on Yahoo Japan as of now, but they are on there pretty frequently, along with the Xanadu Manga. Indeed. If there were a DVD available on the other hand, that may be more worthwhile to attempt to encode. I don't have a TV to PC cable -- just a PC to TV cable; and even then, my laptop's dead, so my 4 prong cable does no good. Especially since my mom's uses 7 prongs for S-Video.
